That's right folks, it's time for everyone's favorite site tournament- Platform Wars 3! The only tournament on the site that lets the rival platforms battle against each other for a show of strength and ultimately skill at a computer game!

Last time, the PCs won both times! Is it time for the Macs to finally win a few? Not likely, since PC has many more people!

Anyhow, here's your essential informations:

Well i just did my pc recruiting drive so about 10-20 pcs should be on the pc side :P. BTW ill be on the side that needs the most help (mac :P)

Saturdays are busy at the hotel I work at. I will be home at 7 pm central texas time, but wont be able to get in the server untill I get to work around 10 pm. I will be using my little pc with onboard graphics on that night.

You can allways buy a laptop and take that one to the hotel and in your eh pause? brake youu can game XD

I'll work out if I'm able to join, once I get my head around time zone differences...
I'm in GMT apparently... so that would make it ... Midnight or something? *Gasp*

I am sure the server will be up all day and night long. Led is cool like that.

I am an unfortunate "possibly". I should be open, but odds are that my computer will be acting up and I may be unable to go to my good gaming comp...we'll see...PC FTW!

It was 2:32 am early Thursday morning central texas time and on the net I saw The Current Time in New Zealand is Thursday 1/21/2010 9:32pm GMT + 13. It seems to show that New Zealand is 19 hours a head. I agree with {AoC}DarkSun, january the 31st 2 pm.

Perhaps to set it earlier in the day would make it easier for us west Europeans.
However members of this site come from a variety of places, perhaps an average time could be calculated ? Or if that's too much of a task... 3pm CST is a roundish number  :g:

The war will be at 3 PM CST. That is 4 for you East Coasters, 2 for MST, and 1 for West Coast.

The PW3 server works well, UNIT33 and I, a pc we were on at the same time. I didn't ask if he was on his mac at the time. He did say he will play on the mac side.

So if the MACintoshes play on the other side from the PC users, when do we decide which team is on what side? Should this decision be based on who the advantage player-wise? Should the MACs be on the sides with Jets? Do I have to be a wookie?  Should the MAC's always be clones? How do we decide?  :rofl:

PC's win! No surprises there...

The final score was 6-2. Macs won one round of Beachhead and Skymaze. PCs won everything else. I don't have scores, but I'm sure someone does.

Dang that was crappy you guys really need better maps, i mean shaft! o-O who would do such a thing that is problebly one of the worst maps EVER made

It was actually quite an interesting pack of maps. Shafts was the small map though most of it wasn't close quarters. It was a good map for MAC to start off bad :tu:
Felucia expanded things and had a thousand more obstacles. It's quite a good melee map. The Droids kinda blend it with the ground.
And then we had a vehicle map in which MAC blew PC away with the tanks. (but then next map I tanked them in the back twice as hard)
And then Skymaze was the biggest. That map is really fun for the jetters. The CIS and the Rebs start off with the low ground. I think it should be switched around. I enjoyed every bit of the tourney

Thanks for taking video Tomaszl. I always like seeing what really happened (sry for all the team kills btw) and learning from your perspective. Keep taking them one of these days MACs will rule, and we will have the evidence.

Well, at least the PCs won. But shoot, sounded like fun. And the map list was interesting too. Hopefully I'll be there next time. End of February sounds good to me.

I dont know but i cant play on internet.When i click Multiplayer/Internet i dont see servers.The lists is empty.someone know why is that?When i install the game she was whit 1.0 version.When i install the 1.11 english version path i cant play internet :s

You need the 1.2 patch in your language to play on servers now.

is that the one whit the tat map in it?

the tat3 (Jabba) comes with the Mac version even without the 1.2 revA patch.

GoGo, is a PC however, so he needs the localized 1.2 patch.
