Title: A few questions about modding

OK, so recently I've decided to start modding for BF2. However, there are still a few things I don't know how to do. If anyone could help me with any of these that would be awesome:
1. Creating new eras and factions
2. Creating new heroes
3. Making new troops for the new factions ( both reskinnimg core classes, and creating original advanced classes)

Also, if anyone knows if it's possible to have three factions in an era and knows how, help with that would be much appreciated. If you have any questions about what I need, that would be amazing. Either way, thanks for any help you can give

It is possible (sort of), however I'm pretty sure only two of those factions will be playable. For example, Ascertes' (http://www.swbfgamers.com/index.php?action=profile;u=7153) Tatooine: Gulch (http://www.swbfgamers.com/index.php?topic=10402.0) has the Tusken Raiders and Empire playable, but the Rebels are not playable. I'm not sure if that's what you want though  :shrug:

You should read the documentation coming with the 1.3 patch it explain everything you want to know ;)

Can I select which two are playable on each map? Because that is exactly what I'm looking for. Thanks

I'm pretty sure you can, yes. However this was done on SWBF 1 so I'm not sure whether there's any information on how to do it one SWBF 2.

My logic is that it can be done, considering it has been done on SWBF 1.

I'm no modder when it comes to SWBF, however I think it could be done by swapping the faction's models and weapons/abilities around and swap their names. That way the map will be tricked into making Tusken's playable rather than Rebels, for example.
