So recently I've ran out of skin ideas... I am specifically looking for none-Clone/Storm Trooper related stuff (unless it's a drastically large change).

If you know of any characters or costumes etc. from another video game series or other media that could be interesting (and sits within the realms of possibility) then go ahead and post your idea (preferably with images).
If you've got a completely original idea which is somewhat more than just a color swap of an existing skin then also post your idea in some amount of detail.

I would really appreciate any ideas you people have.

On completion of the skins I will upload it in a asset pack and later use it in the upcoming modifications I have going.

You should do some Jedi/Sith skins. Some can be from the EU as well! Like a Darth Plagueis! Or his master! He looks pretty cool to! He is also on this page: http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Darth_Plagueis

They've already made a Jedi/Sith side mod. I've used it before, I don't know where it is or what it's called though.

Unit, you should make an empire legion mod. That is, if you know how. You might want SleepKillers help.  ;)

Hmmmm... in that case, are you looking to reskin previously made models or make new models and skin them?

EDIT: I think you should make new rebel models. I can never seem to find the perfect rebel side that I like.

Well, i love Skins, but i only use one because the rest is either a mod or because it looks dreadfull (or is for Clones).
Some ideas: A skin for the rebels which looks like the guys you see in the last episodes (without the mod behind it) so only skin)
I'll think of some more, when i finished this game of JK :P

Well I made the Silver CIS side a while back but this was before I had to ability to munge (and thus was never released) so I'll revisit that I suppose.

I've just done about 4 Rebel skins in the last hour... probably get a release next week.

Well i'd like to have a CIS skin mod with:
Troopers exacly like in the movies, so super battle droids (have no striped)
Seargents have red stripes (in this case the missle droids)
Luitenants have yellow stripes (here its healing droids)
Commanders have a red/yellow dot in the middle and have a stripe on their heads (this would be the sniper)
And the Droidika should be whatever you want....

I dont think that was what Unit was really looking for, he said he wanted a big project. I skin some and I think that would be somewhat easy to accomplish.

Yeah I'm looking for something challenging... I could do those CIS edits but it would be tedious.

All those skins pretty much exist already.
I suppose I might do it after the current shenanigans.

You would think it would be easy to come up with a crazy skin mod...

I seriously think you should make an Empire legion mod. :happy:

EDIT: You could add:
-Stock
-Red
-Blue
-Yellow
-Green
-Inverted (black troopers with white underclothing and visor)
-Snake's clean troopers
-Sith factions (would require some new models)
-Other suggestions

Im not sure what the names of the different colored empire legions (the red, blue, yellow, and green) are. If they didn't even exist in Star Wars, I don't think they should be added.

Unit, maybe you can do much different Human Models (Different Faces) and make then Groupes like Empire for example a Grey Camouflage and Rebs and Brown Camouflage (Just an Example).. And they maybe can be very detailed and can whore different Clothes (For example Sniper in "Bush-Clothes" like on a CoD)
And then you can make at the same time.. Different Weapons who arent there for SWBF 1
For example:
-MP5
-Shot Guns
-Sniper Rifles
And so on ..

Humph! I guess since this is the sort of thing people want... I'll do it after I finish the Alliance skins I'm doing now.

Tested my Rebel skins that I spent ages on and they don't even work correctly on the model.

I'll just do the Imperial Legion skins for now... and then collapse into a pile of misery.

Are the camo troopers the ones you and me worked on a while back? I liked those, but the AT-AT pilot and Scout Trooper needed changes. Mine are all fixed up, I might be able to send it to you once I find it...  :dry:

No, the Camouflaged troopers are completely new and improved.
"Clean" is just vanilla skins isn't it? And this mod is for the Empire not the Republic so I probably won't use the Eagle skin... Maybe an original "Raven" design for Imperial Armour?

It's pointless for empire, since they basically already have the clean skins. All that's changed to the rep to make them "clean" is the color markings were removed and replaced with grey. (For most)

Hey Unit could you give me the links for the sand troopers (worn armor) and the 333rd troopers (black armor). Also could you make a skin for Ice Uniforms (like on Rhen Vahr)?

No, i mean to change the normal outfits, like the once on tantooine, to snow trooper skins.

I was just scimming through google images for cool looking snow troopers, this was one that caught my eye.

Yes that's the Ralph Mcquarrie concept art for the Snowtrooper. I based my "Concept Troopers" mod around them.

I know this is kinda a personal preference for the emp skin changer, but I would really like it if you could incorperate a Scout Trooper "legion".  :happy:

Regular Scout as trooper, Scout with blue markings as demolitions, Yellow/orange markings for pilot, red for sniper, Idc about the jet trooper. Perhaps making the markings similar to the clones, or just an overall color change for each faction. (Solid colors with different lights and darks to make it look more real.)

If you can't add that, I may *try* to make it myself and you can maybe fix it up, cause I love the feel of the Scout in-game. It makes me feel so awesome...  8)

When you have a clear idea such as that one, you may find it more fun to make it yourself.

Thanks for posting... I didn't know how to attach my TGAs to the post I already posted.

Tell me what you think of these two, please. I'd be happy to make more of those... they aren't hard at all. I will make different colored versions if you like them.

Yeah those are good. You do it.
It also involves HEX editing to allow for multiple of the same model using different skins; and I'm too lazy to engage in HEX edits.

I have never Hex-Edited before... I'd love to learn, though.

Could I just make the skins and send them your way? Is it possible to just rename the tga images to whatever the ODF needs to read to show up in-game as your skin?

I.E.: Name the edited yellow/orange version of the scout imp_inf_pilot (or whatever the tgas name is) even though its the same image, just colored different and named differently.

its something i call hex duping and you basically just copy the msh, then hex edit to call on different tgas (rename one or more character for each tga name) this lets you use the same model design with different skins.

All of the assets are completed... Anyone fancy doing the legion script treatment if I upload the assets?

Otherwise I'll start munging each legion as a separate OC mod (of which there are nine. Yes Nine)!

EDIT: Sometime today I would greatly appreciate it if you could xfire me all of the skins so I can test them. I am curious on the quality of them since you completed them very quickly. (I'm sure they're great, I just want to make sure they don't do anything weird in-game.)

I can send mine to you, once they're done, if you want to see all of mine before putting them in the skin changer. They should be alright, but you never know for sure.

As you know I did a 212th IMP legion which you were greatly involved in. You can use that for the 212th or, since yours is probably better quality (  :'( ) you could do both! Like 212th first division then 212th second division! What do ya think?

It looks cool so far, sorry I can't help bcuz a certain spanish person has prevented me from developing any more public skin changers.  :(

When you do this, as an option make sure to do "stock" cuz sk's clone legion changer doesn't have that. Also please do NOT change effects like sk did because his effects overloads my computer.  Other than those 2 things I can't wait!! :tu:

As far as I know, we will not be changing anything other than the skins. I don't think we were planning on adding stock, but we might be able to.

We are not able to add the two Scout Trooper legions. :'(
I will just release those skins as assets and two seperate side.lvl's. :confused:

Unit, perhaps we could replace it with the camoflauge Empire skins. (not all scouts) Those would work, and they are cool. :happy:
