Download the DET Mappack - Download here
NOTE: The mappack has finally been compiled by Anyder. I have tested them all and they're supposed to work. Please, check this thread entirely before posting anything.

*Installation is now different: To install, extract the AddOn into AddOn. The novelty lies here: I have created a mission.lvl which would allow, maps like Kamino GCW & Geonosis GCW. DO NOT OVERWRITE THE EXISTING MISSION.LVL from the _LVL_PC Folder. Rename the original one to mission-ori, and extract the new one there. Whenever u're gonna play in normal server (non-DET servers) rename the files.

Attacking Messages

Battles should by default be scheduled for Friday, Saturday, or Sunday. Attacks absolutely must be posted by Thursday at 11:55pm EST

Clans may only attack planets which are connected by a line (in the tournament map) to a planet they currently control.

Format example:

Attacking clan:
Defending clan:
Planet:
Date:
Time (EST):
Attacker era/side:
Server Location: US / EU

Attacks are by default limited to 2.

If a clan forfeits, their planets become native held, and attackers will face a team of "native". Anyone may show up as a native. However in this case the natives may be outnumbered by attackers. But there is a limit of 2 members per clan on the native side.

You cannot "Call dibs". If u want to attack certain maps, schedule the attack properly.

Good night Community,

A member of the community who used to be around for quite a long time was invited to leave us because he claimed the administration of SWBFSpy was built out of "tyrants" who turned against him.

Here is the history of SWBFspy:

SWBFSpy is managed by Led at SWBFgamers.com and supported by the Community Ambassador, Anyder.

SWBFspy was the name give to Kalle's (Gameshare) Gamemaster Master Server (MS) program that allows players to find and choose a server aka "server browser".  One of our members, Sleepkiller, thought up the name, for the logical reason that it has the same number of characters as Gamespy (the original MS program that came with the game) and that it is primarily supporting SWBF.

Led purchased the domain name called SWBFspy.com and Anyder made the appropriate hexedits to allow the games to get to the new MS.

Kalle, contacted by Anyder, and Jedikiller got the MS installed working for us, and with help from oldsnake, Mike, and others in the PS2 community, we got it working for PS2 players in addition to PC players.  Many players have donated money to keep the MS and game servers running for us all.

At this time, Phobos mentioned that he thought up the name "SWBFspy".  Although there is no evidence of this, he is listed as independently thinking up the name.

Unfortunately, Phobos seems to believe that he has some role in the administration of the MS.  He edited his SWBFgamers.com profile to list himself as an administrator of SWBFspy.

This was posted to a YouTube webpage called "SWBFgamers".  This YouTube user was made by Phobos to be confusing to people searching for the legitimate "SWBFgamers.com" YouTube page:

Quote
SWBFSpy is the official multiplayer substitute for the previous GameSpy Master Server currently undergoing development. Phobos (me) and Wolf created SWBFSpy in 2013 as a SWBF1 and SWBF2 master server replacement for GameSpy. In 2016 Anyder and Led attempted a Coup d'état to take away my authority and control over SWBFSpy, unwilling to share the power equally. They purchased SWBFSpy Dot Com which is a fake master server and not the real one. Originally I was ok with delegating some control to them, but then they got too big for their britches and had to be demoted, for not respecting me as the admin & founder of SWBFSpy. In return I've taken over SWBFGamers.com youtube channel and will use this to announce the new master server publicly, along with a new public forum being launched soon! Currently I'm improving the GameMaster source and building the Official SWBFSpy Master Server.  An official patch and announcement will be released to the public when it is finished @ http://swbfspy.net

Clearly phobos has felt some serious resentment about his non-involvement in the MS.  Led found this offensive and purchased the domain "SWBFspy.net" since it was still available.

Phobos became enraged by this and purchased the domain SWBFspy.org.

Recently Anyder made a public a website which contained all the info about SWBFSpy - http://info.swbfspy.com - and because we wouldn't list him as a SWBFSpy admin, he started threatening Led and Anyder, telling them he could not be stopped.

He claims to be building a master server himself, which we never discouraged, but the problem came when he started creating fake groups and pages, which were copies of what Anyder had written, but changing SWBFSpy.com to SWBFSpy.org so as to cause confusion among the player base.

He recently posted these quotes in his copied websites:
- "Anyder tried to usurp my SWBFSpy Leadership like a thief"
- "Anyder is currently posing as an ambassador and admin of SWBFSpy, but the truth is that he has no involvement with the project. Same goes for Led, another poor poser who thinks he is admin, but in reality is nothing."
- "Led/Buckler stole the .com domain registration, and then Anyder stole the SWBFSpy steam community registration, asserting himself as the unofficial SWBFSpy project leader/manager/admin and community ambassador, without authorization from the actual community leader, myself."
- "Neither of those tyrants have any authority over {his MS} or SWBFSpy.org"

We want you all to understand why we banned him.

MfG,
Led & Anyder - SWBFSpy

Forum News and Forum Rules / SWBFSpy Info Website
July 05, 2017, 04:47:13 PM
Good night everyone.

Lately I have been working on a website for SWBFSpy. The purpose of this website is to inform all SWBFSpy Community about everything related to what SWBFSpy is, the purpose of SWBFSpy Engagement, contacts and downloads.

SWBFSpy Info Website - http://info.swbfspy.com

As of now we will not be able to keep track of the downloads (except for those which require forum registration, hosted in SWBFGamers.com), but after 1 year it is fine cause what we need right now is people to download our patch (and also, I already have all the analysis I needed for the downloads).

If any of you want to contact me for whatever reason, just do so. All the contacting info is listed in the website.
Feel free to give feedbacks!

Special thanks to Led for his help, as usual

Edit: Community page is now available! Check it here: http://info.swbfspy.com/community.html

Hey everyone. I advise you all to check your emails as EA is sending out closed Alpha codes at the moment. Alpha will start 29 June at 10 CEST. The codes are 'most likely' sent in batches so don't panic if you didn't get one. It does not matter if you have preordered the game or not. The emails subject is "Star Wars Battlefront II Closed Alpha: Your code is here". Good luck to everyone, hope to see you in Alpha!
Sidenote: The Alpha rules state that we are not to share any information, screenshots or video's or the Alpha or risk getting banned from it.
Just a reminder for all of those that recieved a Closed Alpha code, you're not allowed to share or post info, screenshots, ect. with others. The Alpha is considered confidential and we will be removing anything we find that violates the Alpha agreement.

SWBF 1 and 2 Tournaments / DET Team Signup Thread
June 21, 2017, 04:20:56 PM
The deadline for clan sign ups is June 30th. Delayed to the 16th of July since it will not last as long as ICWs.

Clan lists and mercenaries:

17. Each faction is required to maintain a public clan list in this thread throughout the tournament. Lists can be added to at any time, but never subtracted from once the tournament begins. The members of the list don't have to "be in" your clan according to your clan's internal member list, but they cannot appear on any other clan list at any time in the tournament.

From the perspective of DET admins, only one's membership on an official clan list is relevant for the clan/merc counting policy described in item 24 below. Other, "extra-DET" relationships are not relevant.

18. In a given battle, say involving clan A, players not on clan A's clan list may play for them. Such additional players are called mercenaries. The maximal number of mercenaries permitted in a match is 1/2 the number of clan-listed players, with rounding favoring additional mercs. E.g.,

Number of clan-listed players / maximal number of mercs
3/2
4/2
5/3
6/3
7/4
8/4
etc.

19. To be counted as a clan member, players must use a name identical to the one on the clan list. A single player may use different names, as long as those names appear on the (same) clan list. Mercenaries must wear a tag similar to: (Clan)(Merc)Name.

20. Name-faking is absolutely prohibited and, if confirmed, results in forfeit of the battle by the offending team, as well as a permanent ban of the offending player from DET. Admins will check IPs in situations of doubt.

Hello SWBFGamers!

Let me present you the SWBFSpy Community Tournament I've been trying to organise for some months, the Digital Era Tournament (DET).

I've been looking for some people to help me out organising the tournament, and I've decided to host it as the Community Ambassador. SWBFSpy Engagement has always looked for ways to boost activity ingame, and we hope that this gets SWBF1 as active as it used to be. All the information about the tournament will be listed here, just like the staff. You will find it similar to ICW, but since we were not allowed to use this name, we've decided to change it to a different one.
Important news/changes will be listed in red.

Tournament Staff:

Admins:
1. Anyder (Community Ambassador)
2. Drunken Master (SWBFSpy Engagement)
3. -

Match Moderators:
1. Dark_Phantom
2. -
3. -

Staff wanted

You'll need SWBFSpy to play this tournament. Here you have the link to the files exe or Auto-Installer

Starting info:

Matches will need to be posted on July 5th. The first set of matches will start on July 7th 2017.

Tournament Related:

1. Once clans are finalized, a tournament map will be published. It will look something like this. Each clan will start off with 3 randomly assigned planets. After Week 1, planet ownership is based on battle outcomes from the previous week.

2. There will be 4 weeks (or more, depending on the activity and the amount of players). The winner is the team with the most planets at the end of Week 4. The nature of a tiebreaker will be determined if needed.

Rules:

Setting up matches:

1. Neither team (Attackers or Defenders) can be outnumbered by more then 2. Just before the match starts, a battle count will take place, and from that point the maximum number of players on each side is determined. Once the battle count has taken place, neither team may exceed that maximum.

2. Matches must start within 10 minutes of the announced start time. If clan A is responsible for a delay greater than 10 minutes, the moderators reserve the right to declare that clan A forfeits the battle. The moderators will use this power prudently.

3. A player may spectate a battle, but only upon the approval of one (or both) of the participating clans. In that case, the player must spawn on the side of an approving clan, wear a [Spec] tag, and hide in a pre-designated area during the battle (using freecam to watch).

Moreover, moderators reserve the right to prohibit spectators in a particular battle, if this would help alleviate lag due to a large amount of players in the server.

General Rules:

1. Matches begin with a countdown (e.g., "5, 4, ..., 1, go"). Only a moderator may countdown a battle. Before the countdown begins, players can wander around the map, as long as they obey rule 3  below while doing so. Once the countdown starts, all players must be very close to a green CP. How close is "close enough" shall be determined by the mods in-game, but the rule of thumb is "within the capture radius".

2. Do not suicide to change your class before the countdown; leave and rejoin the server.

3. Killing before the countdown ends, and capturing or partially capturing neutral or red CPs before the countdown ends, is prohibited.

4. Capturing CPs is permitted --> only after the countdown.

5. Killing mods or spectators is prohibited.

6. Which special units are allowed, if any, will depend on the map. When specials are allowed, it will be fairsides jet or fairsides wookie. When the map list is finalized, we will describe the setup for each map.

7. No vehicles are permitted.

8. Laying mines before the countdown has ended, that is, laying pre-mines, is prohibited.

9. Destroying health or ammo bots before the countdown has ended, is prohibited.

10. Spawn mines are permitted.

11. Teamkill is always off and all servers shall be /noaim.

12. Be polite in yellow chat -- no disrespecting at all.

13. No impersonating other players, including other members of your own clan.

14. All players must wear tags ingame. (including Mercenaries)

15. No playing for or spying on the opposing clan's side. Join your clan's side ASAP upon entering the server.

16. Radar is allowed.

Violation of these rules will result in an official warning by an in-game moderator; penalties will ensue at the admin's discretion.

It's up to the moderators whether they want to record the match, but the results must be recorded somehow (I'd recommend to use bandicam or FRAPS to take a screenshot). Anyone can post the screenshot of the final screen on the forums soon after a battle is finished.

At all times moderators have the right to ask everyone except designated players in the server to stop yellow-chatting.

Attacks:

21. Each week a thread will be made on Sunday or Monday where clans will make post attacks, negotiate times, post screenshots, etc. Battles should by default be scheduled for Friday, Saturday, or Sunday. Attacks absolutely must be posted by Wednesday at 11:59:59 PM EST.

22. Clans may only attack planets which are connected by a line (in the tournament map) to a planet they currently control.

23. Format your attacks thusly:

Attacking clan:
Defending clan:
Planet:
Date:
Time (EST):
Attacker era/side:
Server location:

24. In the beginning, each clan may make 2 attacks per week. We may raise the limit to 3 in later weeks, depending partially on admin availability and number of participating clans.

25. If a clan forfeits, their planets become native held, and attackers will face a team of natives. Anyone may show up as a native. However in this case the natives may be outnumbered by attackers arbitrarily. There is a limit of 2 members per clan list on the native side.

26. Clans can't make planet announcements before officially listing times, that is, call dibs, as before.

27.  If you are attacking a team that is primarily EU players you can not schedule a attack after 10 PM Berlin (4PM EST).

Maps:

To be picked...

A map pack will be made available for download sometime in the next 1.5 weeks. The "tournament map" indicating which clans start with which planets, planet connections, etc., will be posted in the Week 1 thread. That thread will appear on June 29th.

Finalizing Clans:

1. Clans will be finalized June 30th 2017

Special thanks to:
- Joseph, for creating the first ICW and coming up with the way of organising it and rules.
- Bomber, for organising the last ICWs.

Morning guys!

SWBFGamers.com has now more than 14000 registered members. During the past 15 days we got 700+ new members to join us. I think most of them downloaded the SWBFSpy Patches from here -- http://www.swbfgamers.com/index.php?topic=10570.0 -- Thanks to this, SWBF2 is quite active now.

Also I wanted to point out the fact that the SWBF2 patch and the SWBF2 AutoInstaller have been downloaded 2300 & 5000 times now, respectively. -- http://www.swbfgamers.com/index.php?action=downloads;sa=myfiles;u=1813 --
Many thanks to all the players who have downloaded SWBFSpy!

Forum News and Forum Rules / SWBFSpy Activity

Good night everyone!

There are some great news I wanted to share with all of you. Six days ago Steam lowered the price of Star Wars Battlefront II to 2.5€/2.99$ and this has boosted the SWBFSpy activity (More or less the activity has grown x2.5 times). There's someone who I'd like to thank this activity boost as well, SueKrueger. There are no words to describe how thankful I am for all your help and for promoting the project

SWBF 1 and 2 Tournaments / Tournament Idea
April 13, 2017, 02:01:03 PM
Hey there guys,

As the community ambassador I'm going to organise a tournament in SWBF1 to gain some activity over there, but I would like to know what u guys what me to organise.
There is a poll right above this text, where I want u to vote to for ur 2 favourite options.
Post any ideas u have in mind. It's on us if we want the community to be active and alive, or not, but that is something u guys gotta tell me.
Feel free to PM me if u do not wanna say it publicly. I'm open to any suggestions and ideas.

Good morning guys!

I have been lately using discord because literally everyone seemed to like this tool over TeamSpeak 3 or even steam/origin. So I came up with the idea of creating a server dedicated to the SWBFSpy Community (for both SWBF1 and SWBF2).
I'm not really sure whether this is going to improve the community activity or not, but I would like to give it a try.

Here's the discord server I created: https://discord.gg/QPfgStv

I have created a text-channel based on an idea from like 3 years ago from the ESL for SWBF2, which was a "Get-2gather" to play funwars constantly, which was a success.

I'm really looking forward new suggestions and ideas
