I can't wait for the 3d thing to go away.
I can go out to watch a movie without getting a headache again.

YES thank you! My friends laugh at me when i tell them that.
I agree, from what little I've seen of it 3D is a stupid gimmick. Don't know about recent marvels such as Prometheus etc, though. To be fair, a lot of people thought the same of color too.
I like 3D. I think it's pretty cool if done RIGHT. Key word is RIGHT.
Perfect example: Avatar ( blue people one ). I saw it in IMAX 3D and it was AMAZING.

I 100% adhere to this, The newer movies should be in 3-D

Monsters, Inc. FTW!
But seriously, I am very picky about my 3D movies. I hate it when they make a movie in 3D just because the original movie was a hit. I think it's lame when the 3D is used for characters talking or a dude walking down the street... They need to use 3D for those in-your-face movies, in my opinion.
(Oh, by the way, has anyone else noticed how off-topic this has gotten? We're all pros at that.) :panic:

Only rarely do I have real-life conversations that don't wander from topic to topic, so I try not to worry about it too much online, despite what some people say! That's just how natural discussions develop

Click where it says "[more]" under the emoticons. :major:
:rock1: :worship: thank you
I hate it when 3D movies don't have a lot of 3D scenes, like Jackass for example. I mean seriously, what was the point?
It literaly hurts my eyes.
I can't watch the 3d stuff without getting a splitting headache.
I see no need to pay for a headache.
I'll wait for the dvd.
> Maybe it's common that nerds get headaches... i get em too, and even after looking at anything with the same neon red tint that was used in the old red-blue 3D glasses. :(
What they don't do 2D screenings as well in the US? I guess us Kiwi's are just a bit more onto it :P
I find the glasses really anoying :argh: I dont have glasses so maybe it just takes some getting used to? They make my noise feel funny?
It's just directors/producers trying to compensate for the lack of inclusiveness that you get with all the CGI, by their flawed logic the 3D puts you "in the movie".
When in reality an emotional story and interesting characters are the key to inclusiveness.
And if they release 3D and 2D they make more money.
SK: they have 2d movies also. But us Americans like to spend more $$! ;)
I actually don't like the in your face 3D. I like the 3D that gives "depth" to the movie. I might be the only one but I saw ( and is planning to see ) all the 3D Star Wars re-releases. I think it was pretty cool.
I didn't like 3D when I wore glasses but now that I wear contacts I enjoy it.
I'ts common for people to get headaches for 3D movies. For some reason whenever I see ANY movie, 2D or 3D in the movies I get a splitting headache after. And about half-way through the film. But at home I don't get headaches by staring at a screen for 2+ hours ( SWBF :P ). But if I take a painkiller halfway through the movie its fine.
3D used to be a couple scenes where stuff "came out" at you. But now, it gives the movie depth and emerses you in the experience.
Have you ever tried out 4D on a simulator? Man thats insane!
Haha, I went to a musuem that did 4D you get water splashed in your face, insects above you, your seats move its mental :D
I've done the 4D at Disneyland and Universal Studios. That won't be a major commercial thing though, not in the near future. I can do without. I don't go to a movie to have water get all over me.
As have i! Never again am i going in mission space
Its only something I would do if it became seriously popular, or just as a 1 time experience :P Although it is really fun if you pick the right film
I constantly try to avoid 3D it ruins movies and is mostly pointless. Movies are meant to be 2D. Not out in my lap. If I want to have Golem popping out at me I'll charter a trip to middle earth :tu:
Is Star Tours is 4D? Because I love that ride.
:o
