So not Tantive with a patch you were eventually going to make anyway?  ok I guess.
So no mods, and no maps that replace common.lvls etc.
Well, this is a stumbling block...

If it's labeled mappack, I would advise sticking to mod maps and maybe skins for stock maps.

But a modpack, you could include skin changers and other files which are more complex to install.

And I would need SK's permission to combine legion changer and CCSC scripts into a new common.lvl which is quite a bit of work to do, though feasible.

Well how about we first try just a mappack. Then if it is relatively susscessful then we can do a mod pack! Sound good? :)

So any suggestions for maps? Requirements: it has to function without changing any files in the lvl pc folder. :) Maybe someone can try to get Sereja's Kamino to work by changing the mission to call upon the custom common? Would you like to do that Phobos? ( only if you want to of course )

I haven't tested calling custom common from mission yet but I'll try I just need the mission LUA and the map you are referring to

Here is the map: http://www.swbfgamers.com/index.php?action=downloads;sa=view;down=661
And you should PM Sereja about the scripts.
Thanks for doing this Phobos!  :cheer:

If this to encourage new people to download mods I would just do maps that go straight in the addon folder, nothing complicated. Then if people enjoy those they can come here and see all the different mods available. I've just realised I have 137 mod maps on my P.C. so I'll have a look and pick out my favourites.
I play less now but I'll always be around, lets keep this site and battlefront going. :)

It's a great idea to show just a small bit of the mods made for swbf.

Exactly

Well for starters i'd love to make it somewhat more democratic....i'd pick all the 5 star maps from Rhynos map rating thing (or whichever you think are the best)
Then make a poll...a big poll....(i hope it's possible)...with around 40/50 maps. Then you click on multiple options...so we can vote for more then one map. (make it a ranking system...and the mapmaker with the most votes gets a tag (or whatever)).
The 10 (or 7/8/14/whatever) maps with the most votes are put in the map pack...then you get the permission.

Then somebody makes the video (can also be a contest for best video), you can also discuss the music...with three polls or what (first poll...what music genre, second poll...what artist...thirth poll...what song)
At the same time you make a map for all the screenshots (around 10 total). Make the screenshot making some sort of contest...the best screenshot will be put in the map (along with 5 other ones)...and the winner gets a tag or whatever

BTW THIS IS ONLY SPECULATION...it's only a way to make it even more fun then it already is....your the one who decides if you do it ;)

I love democracy XD

Two things.
1. How about only putting maps in it that were made and released by the author on SWBFGamers? Meaning ones that were made after January 2011. Else it isn't really a SWBFGamers Mappack.

2. Or each of the modders here makes a completely new map to put in a mappack.

I agree with SK

for 1: thats what I'm doing.
for 2: that would be quite troublesome and I think that if we had a "contest" the maps would be rushed. I want to stick with already developed maps. :)

Haha well, I like long posts, but no those who might have 5000 words bcuz I get bored... xd
