I am really doubting SWBF is dead.

Take a look at SWBFFiles: http://starwarsbattlefront.filefront.com/

Of the last 10 files submitted, 6(!) are for SWBF1.

That trailer for "Ord Mantell: The Forgotten Groves" looks really nice...I'm getting some inspiration

I think it's safe to say the SWBF Modding Community is alive and well. :) Though a lot of the stuff submitted to SWBFFiles for SWBF1 isn't great quality, it's still nice. Hear hear?

(Oh and by the way, is anyone else annoyed by "GoldenLeader" ? ALL his comments on the SWBF1 map released are "OMG MAKE THIS FOR BF2!" or something..I am getting QUITE annoyed...)

They're just jealous they bought the wrong game xD

A game is not dead until it's fans give up. The mods and maps are an indicator of these fans

Viruses are like the New York Lottery. "Hey, you never know"

I realise that Pi, it's just that a while ago everyone around here was saying that SWBF is dead and it has no hope.
XD

Breakdown, I totally agree with you on GoldLeader. He is like a 4 year old that is used to getting toys and all of a sudden a different person is getting something for once. Did SWBF1 people whine when it was all SWBF2 maps/mods? Nope. I've tried to tell the brat to shut up, but he won't listen. The Ord Mantell map looks pretty good but why is it so similiar to the last one?

wtf?
"I am QUITE annoyed"
.
Anyways, just because there are maps doesnt mean it isnt dead. More people are moving to the newer games and there are some pretty good games coming out soon.

KHyler, don't call me a . People work hard to make SWBF maps, only to have some guy demandin for it to be made for SWBF2. It's discouraging.

there's always a kid who wants something.
For 1, you want that kid to go away.

Khyler I find it funny that YOU are calling people pricks...

Anyway, yeah that looks awsome, but SWBF was never dead :D

People's opinions on this are seasonal.

Summer: Oh my gosh, it's dead!
Fall: It's dying
Winter: We're doing alright
Spring: It's crazy people thought that swbf was dead
Summer: Oh my gosh, SWBF is dead!!!

Darth Verik you have no idea what you are talking about.

Mac is right how the cycle is. SWBF will do just fine for another several years (I assume)

yeah we have a very tight group of members here and on gr, I dont see the train stopping any time soon :D

On this topic, I thought SWBF was pretty boring until I discovered the Multiplayer patch, which led me to find out about the almost-cult following. The downloadable maps and mods make this game much more fun than a console version. I hope I'm not too late.
