I think it's worth considering that although Battlefield 3 & 4 were pretty terrible for the first few months, after half a year and a few rounds of patches, both became very much playable. I would be more concerned about the moneymaking gimmicks EA is going to try to pull. How many expansions do you figure there will be? 5? 10? 30? How much is it going to cost total after the game itself and the packs they add on top? Upwards of $120 I'm sure, especially if they go with the $70 initial pricing EA introduced for eleventh generation consoles.

Let us not forget EA is going to make it a Battlelog platform game, which is just horrific.

I threw up in my mouth after reading that.

I still have faith in EA/Dice (Don't ask me why...) Still, even if Star Wars Battlefront becomes the most overpriced, terrible game of the decade, it's still a win that we have the "Battlefront" name back.

Star Wars Battlefront (2004 Original) / Re: HELP
January 03, 2015, 06:35:57 PM
There are a wonderful amount of Star Wars Facebook pages, and some good Battlefront ones.

Random Star Wars is a page and group that WgT Scout helps moderate/post. It's actually pretty good and much better then most other SW pages.

Who Else Wants Star Wars Battlefront 3 is another good page with frequent updates about Battlefront. Extremely good page and highly recommended.

If you don't have FB, then these will be a waste. I am curious as well to what good SW/SWBF sites are around. I'm just too lazy to do much digging. :P

Gamespy or game master or they will just be on open servers ???

Man...     You have been out of the loop. Gamespy is no longer around, they no longer host games. Gamemaster is not really a company, it's more of a group effort to restore older games that required Gamespy to work online. Dice hosts it's own servers, doesn't it?

I woke up to find out that my Grandma passed away at about 2AM so I have to spend a week off the internet and at the funeral D:

I'm sorry to hear that.  :(

EDIT: What do you mean...        open servers? What...?

I was actually debating between several other games when I bought that. I was debating between GRID, GRID 2, Need For Speed: Shift, or Shift 2: Unleashed.

Ideally I would've loved to get Assetto Corsa or Project Cars, but the price was too high (and the specs for Project Cars woul kill my current setup).

This post made me so happy.  All those are great games. Be careful getting Grid 2 (if you ever do) though, it's got very, very, VERY, bad controls. It was hard on my 360 because I don't have a wheel. It might be a bit better with a wheel but still it would be bad. Though I have heard somebody was working on a fix for it through mods.  Why not Autosport, though? 10 bucks on steam last time I checked.

Due to circumstances Assetto Corsa is unavailable to me to download for a bit. Though I have looked at a lot of videos and it seems pretty good. If you like more realistic racing games I would look at the simbin/sector3 stuff, ISI engine stuff, (rFactor, Arca sim racing, etc) Or even Papyrus' old stuff. Most Simbin games are dirt cheap on steam. I just checked, some are actually (Seriously) cheaper then a bag of dirt.

Breakdown of Sanity.  Mentioned them earlier, but they have a new (well, newish) album.

Hero definitely isn't the best song on Perception (and Mirrors is probably a better album), but it is fairly accessible if you like metalcore.  MustListenTo/10.

I did like that one quite a bit.

I really love Underoath's stuff, especially when it is live.

A beautiful cover of The Smoking Popes song "Megan".

Hello! As for games that I recommend, the kotor series is nice as GDH said. But you don't have to be a SW fan to enjoy them, but you might become a fan if you play them. I also like BF1942, NFS Underground 2, Roller Coaster Tycoon 2, and Battlefield 2. Two that run pretty easily are Dirt Track Racing 2 and Demolition Derby and Figure 8 Race. Both are extremely fun and massively underrated titles.

Darn...         I am really going to miss you around here. It was a lot of fun chatting with you online and playing against you. I do hope that you decide to check up on the site once and a while. I too wonder if I should quit gaming, it is a hard decision to make and I have major respect for anyone quitting gaming. Enjoy life out there in the real world.  :)

I think Need for Speed could make a lot of money if they redid NFS: Carbon for modern platforms, upgraded graphics, and added multiplayer, where Crews battled for turf across the U.S.
Sounds to me like The Crew is all about getting hot times and stuff. I know that's traditional NFS, but it's also not really in-depth, you know?

Ehh... NFS has really taken a downturn since the Gamecube/PS2 era.

Woah, man, let me get this straight. You want EA to do something that would make SENSE and make customers HAPPY!? *collective gasps* *crowd starts chanting "Crucify him"* Have you gone absolutely mad Ultimo?

But yeah, EA should do that. But they won't, because it's a good idea. Actually I think it would be better if is where a sequel not a remake. Heck, maybe make another Underground title.

F1 2015,

The F1 games look fun, and with just buying a nice wheel (a G27) I plan on buying an older version. If I like that I may buy F1 2015 or 2016 next year.

  • The Crew (when I have the money for it)

The Crew actually came out a little bit ago. Unfortunately it has gotten some pretty bad reviews, I was really looking forward to it. :(
