Hey all,

I run a SWBF2 Hero Assault server on GameRanger. I do a lot of hex editing to turn things off such as force.

Anyway, does anyone know of a way to hex edit the server chat to be hidden for everyone?

I host a server on GameRanger, and once in a while I get a player who, when trying to join the game, instantly crashes the server for everyone and they are all sent to the lobby. They would mention it was a fresh install, but any time they try to join a server it crashes for everyone.

As you can imagine, this might possibly be abused. Does anyone know a fix for it? Or even know what I'm talking about?

Yes, the original dedicated SWBF2 server exe works for GameRanger.

You're saying host two different servers? I only host one server on GameRanger though.

Unfortunately this .exe doesn't work under GameRanger.

For whatetever reason, .exes modded to connect to different servers other than GameSpy's don't seem to work under GameRanger.

I'm really interested in that endgame crash fix.
