2. Minecraft (again ^^)
3. Call Of Duty - Black Ops 2

5. Battlefront, just cause of the nostalgia of my first FPS.

Also wish I could get a clean (morally) version of Watch Dogs...

What are your top picks for Best Games you've played? I'm curious... And I'm posting my own Top Picks.

2: Roller Coaster Tycoon ( Long time fan of the original game for PC )

You have good tastes, but the sequel was much better. Third one was terrible (imo) though.

----------------
10: Need for Speed Underground 2 (PC)

I love this game, by far the best NFS game ever released.

9: Star Wars: Battlefront 2 (PC)

I didn't play BF2 as much as I should have, but it is a lot of fun. SHame I can't get it working atm.

8: NHL '08 (PC)

I love this game, it is so much fun. The game also introduced me to Bayside, which alone could have put it one this list :P

7: Roller Coaster Tycoon 2 (PC)

The best strategy game ever, I could play this for hours. I typically just end up trying to kill people because I suck at it so much.

6: Star Wars Republic Commando (PC)

I played so much instagib online, believe it or not I actually had skills. :P (Unlike battlefront) The good story mode also made me love this game.

5: Driver San Francisco (Xbox 360)

I owned at this game, I won pretty much every match I played online. I also got into the top 10s on the leaderboards. I don't play it anymore, but it is one of the greatest games I have played.

4: Forza Motorsport 4 (Xbox 360)

I played so many hours of this game online (and some offline) that it deserves to be on this list. I bought my 360 just for this game.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The rest of these games are kinda hard to put in a list. So they are all pretty much tied for me. So the final three in no particular order:

SWBF1:

My first shooter game, the first game I played online, and the only shooter I love. Great community (Yes, that means you) good mods, and such a fun game to play.

Nascar racing 2003 Season:

I got this game such a long time ago. When I was younger I used to drive backwards on the track to see how many cars I could hit. Now I play it more like it should. I don't think there is another game I have logged more hours on.

KotOR 2:

Oh. My. Word. This is the only video game where I have actually grown attached to the characters. Heck, there is not even a TV show or movie that I care about the characters. The game was fun from beginning to end. The only gripe is how poorly the game ends, and the terrible canon ending. I just pretend that ending was never the REAL ending. I will forever live in denial.

Honorable Mentions:

KotOR 1: Haven't got far enough in the game to put it in the list. Super Mario Bros. 3: This game made me a gamer.

----
I wonder if Commander Awesome is a star wars fan.

Top Picks (in no particular order)

1. Need For Speed: Underground 2 (GameCube, first racing game I played, still love it to this day)
2. Need For Speed: Carbon (GameCube, probably the best NFS of the series)
3. Need For Speed: World (PC, gotta grind like crazy to get good cars, but it's still fun)
4. Hawken (PC, a very fun mech shooter, kind of like Titanfall, but you're always in a mech)
5. Guns of Icarus Online (PC, awesome Steampunk, team-based game where you fly in an airship with araments, are of a group of 4, and have to destroy other airships to win. If you've played Air Buccaneers, it's that, but Steampunk'd)
6. Star Wars: Battlefronts I and II (for obvious reasons)
7. Pixel Gun 3D (iOS/Android/Windows/Amazon devices, Minecraft meets the shooting genre, more or less)

Favorites that once I started playing them, I could spend weeks replaying, over and over (and still can.)
In order of preference:
Some are kinda old, but that doesn't matter. The in-game experience is fun and compelling in all of them.

X-wing is just flat fun. Tie Fighter is too, but they monkeyed with the controls. If you could combine the content from both, the controls from X-wing, and the graphics from Tie-fighter, then there would only be one entry here. I didn't care much for the rest of the series as the controls became ridiculously simplified.

Tribes and Battlefront really shine in multiplayer environments. In Battlefront, the chatterbox detracts from gameplay, while in tribes, it actually enhanced it.

Genghis Khan is a turn based war game. It's sequel introduced more units and better graphics. It's just as good. I really enjoy the subtle historic accuracy of the units.

Symphony of the Night was the most beautiful platformer I had ever seen when it came out. I'm hooked on them now. If they just recycled the same SotN engine with a slightly different castle in each one, I'd buy them all and thank them for it. Not the 3d versions though. They should have a finger wagged at them over those.

Command and Conquer and Starcraft are crack for me. Just simple fun. Red Alert feels like to much at a time.

There are lots of more modern games that are really swell, but I have found most to be eye candy and they don't hold my attention very long. I'll always return to the above standbys.

Ahh Tie Fighter!  That's another one.  I actually never played Xwing but it's on my list of things to do... and get Tie Fighter again.

I completely forgot about this one... I've spent so many years playing this game over and over. Loads of fun!
Good choice, GM

I've always thought that Hot Pursuit 2 was the best NFS.

NFS Hot Persuit 2 wasn't bad. But, the best?

Carbon was truly great, but only for the cop chases. Driving felt awkward, and racing was kinda boring. Touge was all right though. (Drifting felt great, but a tad bit too much arcade) Unfortunately some cars where way overpowered, the upgrades should have tried to keep them even, but with each car it's advantage.

NFSU2. Awesome. Only two problems where the terrible AI later in the game, and the fact that I HAD to have a riced out car. But being on a PC, I have my ways around the second issue. I think I own about 5 or 6 different copies of the NFS Underground series.

ProStreet was great, but it refuses to work on my PC.

Shift 1 was good but it's not NFS imo. Feels more Grid then NFS. I'm sure 2 is the same.

The Run was fun, I finished the Nintendo version but not the real version.

Rivals was a joke. I'm not kidding, terrible.
[/spoiler]

Before someone shouts "Off topic", this is on topic. We are discussing a games on our lists. Not some random game nobody mentioned like Goat Simulator.

I only ever played 2 NFS games: Carbon and ProStreet.

ProStreet was somehow excellent on the Nintendo DS, but if your L-R buttons stopped working after a while like mine did, you were screwed because you couldn't shift gear.
Carbon was amazing in my eyes, but the Canyon races were very odd, and definitely designed for your opponent to score more points than you on those runs. The only possible way to win the final Canyon duel in the story line is to either Push your opponent off the cliff (extremely difficult, he corrects very well), OR you had to somehow gain the advantage and pull in front of his car and hold it for 5 seconds. (The recommended way, but watch out, he is loaded with NOS and may fishtail you.)

I'm going to give a big shoutout to Counter Strike Global Offensive. Hit me up if you got the game. Right now the only game I'm playing seriously. ESEA is a cesspool of toxic players but it's the highest level in North America.

Great memories of playind cod2, cod4, and swbf1 with this community. Also spent a LOT of time playing Street Fighter competitively but I dropped the game.

The one NFS game that I WANT to play. Haven't gotten around to a Wii version (hardly ever touch the Wii these days), though I am tempted to at least go PC if I can't go Wii.

Also, you thought Rivals was a joke? Try Nitro, it's so far out of it's league, it doesn't even deserve the title (Need For Speed) in it.

Oh Dear...

Nitro was just so bad...
Even worse owning the DS version, but even if you didn't, you wasted money.

It's a fun play from time to time if im on a roadtrip or something and have my DS with me, but that's it. It was very utterly childish and really, GM is right, doesn't deserve to be under the NFS title.

Don't get the wii version, rent it. For reason the car never even moved for me, though never have I seen anyone else with the problem. 3DS version was wicked fun, though.

I have heard of the nitro horrors. Almost bought it once.
You act like the NFS title is good, it is not. Big Rigs Over the Road Racing was better then some NFS games.

I actually got ProStreet to work on my PC (Well as good as an EA product can work) Lol so many glitches it's funny. :XD:

Big Rigs was just flatout bad. It doesn't even deserve to be here (unless you care to poke fun at just about everything wrong with the game).

If you are looking for a half-decent game though, try Rigs of Rods. It's freeware, game has been around since '04, and the community for it is incredibly lively. It's more so a physics simulator than a full-blown racing game, but it's pretty fun to smash up some of the cars.

Now TrackMania, THAT is a racing game.

BeamNG is newer and a little better. I would try it but my ISP throws a fit every month because I go over the data limit, so downloading a game would be a bad idea.

Trackmania is fun, I can't get sunrise to work on windows 8 though.  :( I had so much fun with that game when I used my old PC.
