Hey guys
I'm suffering from withdrawal since Gamespy closed swbf.  I wanted to get help on how to install the Tunngle since i've taken all the steps required, but when i start up swbf via Lan, i don't see the vlan site.

Hi and welcome. :) When you start tunngle make sure you search for battlefront then open it before starting the battlefront game everytime you play.
If you have X-fire that's the easiest way to talk about things.

Edit: If you have more complicated problems you should check through other peoples posts or start one of your own saying which operating system you use (Windows 7 etc) and any errors you get in tunngle.
I play less now but I'll always be around, lets keep this site and battlefront going. :)

Hi Cabe, good to see you here.

We need a checklist--please feel free to add to it and let us know what works or doesn't work.

was it windows 7?

also, did you use the Administrator account to install it? One named administrator with admin privileges, and not another names account with admin privileges?

did you get assigned a virtual IP address?

any error codes?

Don't believe everything you read on the internet

Howdy, and Welcome :)

Adding to Bucklers list by one.

Did you find the Battlefront Lobby (in Tunngle) and were there other people in it?

Welcome :) Maybe i can also help, but i think Led will explain this better  ;)

Thanks for your replies.

I opened Tunngle and did type battlefront in the search box.  I then see SWBF and SWBF 2.  I do see 19/255 in the SWBF.  I double clicked on swbf and get a message "network switch successful... network successfully joined."  Then I launched SWBF, chose multiplayer, chose LAN but there were no maps to join in LAN.

Other info:
- I did check Tunngle in the windows firewall as public
- I have windows 7
- Did install with Admin rights
- Did get an email from Tunngle and verified my account opening.  When I open Tunggle it automatically logs me in
- I'm not sure what a virtual IP address is ?!?

Maybe the best option is to talk to someone over xfire.  Best time for me is 10pm cst or later.

Confused - Cabe  :XD:

Forgive me for asking this, but you did Right click and press Run as Administrator. I have just seen several people stuff up this step by not doing this.

After you search for battlefront and select it do you see a list off people online to the right hand side? Is your name there?

Hi again
- Yes I did right click and login as administrator
- I did see my list on the right along with other names like plaled
-  I'll try to catch Buckler tonight or one of these nights

Hi
Finally figures out that the problem was my firewall on the internet security software was on.  I was able to finally get on!  Lesson is turn off all the firewalls in windows, security software and elsewhere.  Also there is a face icon on the bottom right of Tunngle.  If it's not a happy face or neutral face then there's a problem connecting to Tunngle.

very nice cabe, glad you got on the tunngle network!

Thanks for posting your solution.
