Title: Farther lOD for soldiers
Post by: Antstafer on October 20, 2015, 03:10:27 AM
Hello, I'm new to this forum and it's been a joy seeing an active BF fanbase still around.  :)

I'm wondering if extending the LOD distance for soldiers would be possible, because in maps which have a lot of reinforcements on each side, even the closest soldiers appear in their low poly meshes. I only just started noticing this and it's kind of an eye sore to look at o n o.

I think that would take some cheat engine manipulation to achieve. It was also be pretty rough on the memory usage.

You mean memory usage for the engine, right? Because I don't see my computer having any issues with it.
I was doing some looking around, and saw this comment by Kit Fisto.
QuoteSWBF2 Rebels skins have been made, and SleepKiller said that the low resolution models thing can be modded out.
So, if cheat engine would be the only way of accomplishing this, then I guess I'll have to look into that a bit. I'm also curious if you could just simply replace the low lod models with the higher lod models.
