I voted Steam aswell, I do not think the 5$ restriction is very important since Steam is quite useless if you do not own games from its store.
This restriction was mainly added to prevent bot accounts and frauds regarding in-game items and cards you can trade.
May I also add, since the "paid skyrim mods" events, some people decided to build their own independent free and open-source software, they are still in heavy development, you can learn more at their website here : http://www.projectascension.io/

EDIT : Do not mind this comment, my question was answered.

Same goes for me, I'm thinking about building a PC, because my current laptop will certainly not be able to run SWBF.
There's this community on reddit ( https://www.reddit.com/r/buildapc ) that might be helpful.
I still can't wrap my mind around the differences between an i5 and i7 processor.

Be careful, shutting your computer down resets your queue position. I went from #688 yesterday to #2329 this morning.

It could also create a lot of content for a potential SWBFGamers Youtube channel.

Oh man farewell Xfire.
I guess their competitor Steam took the upper hand.
They are using some sort of queue time to retrieve user's files, so maybe you didn't access to the page because too much people were trying to access the archives.

You are #1105 in queue

FAQ from GameRanger : http://www.gameranger.com/support/network/?i_ip=1520281539&x_ip=1520281539&r_ip=0&rt=3&pp=0

"You will still be able to connect with the majority of players, but not with those who have Symmetric NAT Routers (which are not that common, fortunately). One advantage of fixing this problem is that the "Preparing Connection" window will complete much faster."

You can add BW to the joining list !
( by the way, we do not have a specific tag, but BW without special characters is fine )
