SWBF Mod Tools Trouble

I'm having a problem opening mod tools.  I did three of the solutions, didn't work.

ok, please be specific when you say three solutions.  Also, let us know what version of windows you are using.  I will move this to the factory soon.

Well, I launched the exe and closed it, application still could not find Battlefront.
made the registry file and successfully added to the registry and opened the application, did't work
made sure I installed it in the right place, didn't work

I have the BoPC and I am using Windows XP

So does anyone know how to fix this?
I really want to start making a Theed Palace map.

tell us specifically where you installed the mod tools
tell us what specifically what exe stopped working

window XP should be the easiest one to install the tools on

can you make a screen shot of the error?
