I actually didn't know we were being assaulted by spammers. Even then, they haven't exactly spammed anything if nobody sees them due to their lack of posting. Only people who look up the newest members would really find them anyways. :P

Simple, using the Members page, searching through registration date, going to the last page, and then doing process of elimination. Seeing as how spammers post URLs, I checked all profiles that had 0 posts, but had a URL link on them. Then simply copy/paste, and done!
I wouldn't go looking for anymore, as I've pretty well got everyone for now. Though you could check the profiles that don't have any info listed other than emails, and see there. If they have no URLs anywhere, then they're clean, I guess. (Xfire addresses don't count)

We have a pretty good spam filter, but some get through.
I reject about 20 applications a week. You can just tell by some of the user names that things are not right. JediKiller had us locked down pretty good, but there were also bans of entire countries--like Austrailia--that I lifted when I took over. ;)

They must have a way to bypass or get through Captcha.
They are also not flagged when I approve accounts, so they must come from clean IPs and have clean user names.
I could probably just purge all accounts with zero posts, but we might lose a few people that are here just for the mod downloads.
Actually I was going to post that I was going to donate my time to finding the spammers, but it looks like GM has them under control.
I always wondered why so many people where on this site, people that never post, are never in game, and never even on.

No problem, Buckler! I was bored tonight, so I decided to hunt down the spammers. :P I should get a Spam Police badge or something. :D
That would explain how they manage to get through, but the one about free implants really shocked me. I thought for sure it would've been caught.
And yeah, purging all accounts with 0 posts would be bad. I saw a profile that had a full forum signature actually, but no posts. (The guy's name was Millionaire, if you were wondering)

Ryanocerous already has an award like that one, kind of. His name is differently coloured and his title is "Elite Member". :P
Regardless, uploading files sounds like the Modder of The Month award, where the person that has done most contribution towards modding that month earns it. Posting helpful posts seems like an opinion-based decision, and would probably cause controversy as to what posts are considered "helpful". Catching spammers for sure, though donating already has an award for it.
Either way, Community Member award seems a bit like a waste of space. The requirements you mentioned are already in most of the awards anyways, or seem a bit of a hassle. Besides, let's let the Moderators and Admins think of what they want to do, for all we know the idea could work, however the requirements could be completely different, or the idea of the award could be too.

Wasn't sure if I should put them down or not. The links which I checked were either to sell a cable descrambler, or some website to donate money on (this was on a guy named {U.E.F}Ruffy).
