SWBFgamers.com has reach a new milestone--1 million page hits for the month of November!
Check out our other stats in the attached image.
Awesome! That will be a shocker if we manage to hit 2 million! :o
Wow! This is great! But this was probably from the gamespy shutdown. :,(
( maybe someone just re-loaded a page like 10000 times. ;) )
Likely from Gamespy closing servers... but still cool!
I'm surprised how much bandwidth a forum takes up. Is it from the hosted files?
Long live SWBF
Good job chaps.
Lets shoot for 2 million! Long live SWBFgamers!
Nice :cheer: . Just a question,on that graphic, why the bandwidth was way bigger in January?

Although the shutdown did drive some traffic to us, we were at 700,000 hits in October, so we have been increasing for a while and we are pretty close to reaching 1 million again this month.
A lot of the bandwidth is from the files. When we host a mod map event we can get a lot of downloads of the map pack.

HAHA! I knew this didn't happen with new visitors! :P
If we reach 1 million again that would be awesome! Does anyone have any idea how many hits gametoast gets 1 month?
Thats quite an achievement. Keep up the good work Led and thanks to everyone who's made this such a nice community to be a part of. :)
Don't you have to pay more and more $$ every time we add more assets/mods/maps ?
The memory the site uses is CRAZY :O
I can fit all of my personalized tools on an 8 gig flash drive xD
Congrats to Led and you all, I'm amazed that so many unique visitors have come ot the forum, I think the site is going up higher on google.
It really is amazing how much memory all of the downloads take, but it's a small sacrifice to make so we can let people download these awesome maps for fun
Led, your awesome to pay for this site. :cheer:

Ah, yes, how much do you pay me? ;)
And I get paid just as much from everyone else!
Seriously, it doesn't cost a lot to run this website, but there is no revenue from it because I am not about to junk the place up with advertisements like so many other websites you can find.

Short answer, is no. This website has "unlimited" storage and data transfer.
We have about 30 GB of files on this website. The only downside is that automatic backups are not done after the site hit 20 GB of files--but that just means I back them up my self.
The only thing that could get me in trouble with the webhost (hostgator) is if we take up too much CPU--and that is why we can not have a shoutbox.

I bet they get a fair amount--they have a lot of SWBF2 stuff going on. A good traffic driver for us has been the ICW and other tournaments.
Yes, I sure wish I could play in those. :'(
Another thing I noticed is that there always seems to be a real person on this site at any given time. Even if its just yourself! :)
Ik im posting late, but, yesterday one guy in the 1.0v said that thanks to swbfgamers.com he got Tunngle.
That was super cool, rly :)
