Here is my slightly late welcome...
Hello there !
Enjoy yourself... but not too much or else you end up like me !!!

1. 'The Scream Cannon' - Oni
One of the most scary weapons you'll encounter in a video game, this weapon releases a
'screaming' entity of light, which follows targets relentlessly, passing through objects and gliding at low speeds...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C8zpfiHeR_s

2. 'Flare Gun' - 'Time-splitters'
No explanation required, it's just funny. :D

3. 'Disruptor Rifle' - 'Jedi Knight Series'

4. 'Holy Hand Grenade' - 'Worms series'

5. 'Wunderwaffe' - 'Nazi Zombies mode' - 'Call Of Duty World at War'.

Oh, and of course they need to do a lot better to protect the game from online hackers, within three days of the release of ES invincible hackers wielding lightsabers could be found in most servers !

Yeah, this is an inconvenience, especial since it's raining, the weekend and I have nothing else to do !

I agree with most of what you said, yes there needs to be far more skins,
but i think the weapons them selves should be customisable, such as scopes, grips... and well like COD :D. Going back too skins... legs, body and head should be freely customisable rather than limited to specific unit selections.
Maps, well, most are simplistic to cut down memory requirements so, i'd say that more concise maps would be better, In elite squadron there are 12 maps, of which 2 or 3 are actually acceptable, so they should try avoid attempting to push content to far....
And, i would like to see a customisable hero class, which you can use in any era or planet.

I think this is way too soon, leave it a few months before we have another.

SWBF1 Modding / Re: Main Play Mod 7
January 23, 2010, 04:06:35 AM
It's not 'just' a mod Verik.
The mod affects the whole game-play of SWBF, new maps, sides, sounds, music, skins and weapons, so it ain't 'just' a mod.

SWBF 1 and 2 Tournaments / Re: Platform Wars (PW.3)

Perhaps to set it earlier in the day would make it easier for us west Europeans.
However members of this site come from a variety of places, perhaps an average time could be calculated ? Or if that's too much of a task... 3pm CST is a roundish number  :g:

I'll work out if I'm able to join, once I get my head around time zone differences...
I'm in GMT apparently... so that would make it ... Midnight or something? *Gasp*

I think maybe Kashyyyk could put those two seater speeder bikes to good use,
perhaps they could spawn in the unused spawn points ?

Released Maps and Mods / Re: Kashyyyk: Kachircho
January 06, 2010, 12:09:53 PM
Yeah this is the SWBF1 map, it wasn't converted.
The main problem was the sheer size of the map, it took far too long to get anywhere
unless you had a starfighter.

UNIT33, why not record the cool sayings you would like to have in windows .wma format. You can upload it to a filefront place, and then let wampa know the link. Or I or some other helper can do voice overs once you get the exact messages.
I might just do that, but the format will be whatever is easiest at the time, probably mp3.

I wonder if this could be applied to the 'battle commentary' - the repetitive "we've lost a command post" could perhaps be replaced with better phrases ? "Those Rebel scum have taken a command post"
"this battle is ours!" -and such. This could perhaps be used in 'big mods', just to make game-play a little more interesting.
