now what i dont get is, even tho Steam has over 15 million more users buying on steam. Why games come out exclusive to a certain console, knowing that there is a larger market on steam or a open platform release.

my mic is not working on valve games on both my Mac and Boot Camp partitions. It isnt a hardware issue because my mic works in cod2 and 4. I have mic ability turned on in the settings of tf2 and L4D2 however no sound is registered. also, in the windows control panel for audio recognition windows does recognize my mic and registers sound. How do i get Voice to work in tf2 and L4d2?

looked it up on steam. Mac is now 13% of all the gamers on steam. Doesnt look like much but a nice number compared to our market share on the general internet.

fathers day is coming up and my dad has really been wanting a mac so i was gonna do the next best thing and make a hackintosh for him. The only problem is that his bank only supports IE for accessing it's site. I was wondering if there was a way to disguise Google Chrome to present itself to the website (Bank) as IE.

Chrome does indeed support the bank, the bank uses no protocols that Chrome doesnt support. I think the issue is the fact that the bank only allows IE users for some reason unknown

this isnt really an issue but a random curiosity. I looked up the tech specs of an XboX 360 and the hardware inside it isnt very high, at least not as high as a PC and some of the PC requirements. I was wondering, how is an xbox able to run a game with no lag with such low hardware power?

is there a way to set a batch file to automatically open when you insert a flash drive into a computer? (the flash drive has the batch file on it)

ok, so if i can sum up Killing Floor in a few sentences it would be this. Killing Floor has got to be one of the best games i have played in a while. For 13$ this game is a complete steal. I recommend everyone to got out and try this game. I have given my guest pass to AG and i hope he will give his review soon. He liked it too but maybe not as much as me. (he doesn't like killing zombies like i do )

is it possible to install an application to a flash drive?

for example. let's say I wanted to take an application from my computer and run it on my school computers, can I put the app on a flash drive and run it at my school without having to install it to the school computers?

sorry everyone, support.steampowered.com is down for me so i cant access it.

When my friend trys to open steam he gets prompted a window saying "checking for updates". However, the text box remains on his screen for an indefinite period of time until he closes it. Because of this he cannot receive the update allowing him to download portal. how can he get a steam app with all the updates installed or a link to direct download of the most current steam update?

ok, so i jsut downloaded steam and it is amazing, a much better UI than i experienced on both xfire and earlier versions of steam. One problem, i can play Portal. Once i dl the game and try to open it it will freeze up and crash on the loading screen

any thoughts?

now, i currently have 4GB of RAM installed on my mac right now. What i am thinking is that gaming speeds may improve with the full 8GB RAM installed. Should i spend the extra money for the (2x4GB), or is 4GB of RAM enough?

ok so, i have officially quit SWBF as you all know. However, i still wish to join rooms to chat with old clan partners. Is there a signature file on swbf that Gameranger uses to identify your applications? i guess what i am trying to say is, is there a way i can trick Gameranger into thinking i have SWBF installed on my mac with out it being installed? i am running low on HD space and until i get the hefty 500GB version i need all the GB possible.
