Didn't we decide that it could be done in PS2 version?  That would seem to make sense.  Guess later today I'll have to break out the PS2 and see.

Tech Support / Re: Faster internet

Ok, here is what I've learned after living my whole life with Dial-up Internet at home:
56kbps (40 is the real max at home) does teach you a few things.

First question is:  What are you trying to do?  Download gigantic files or casual web surfing?  Playing older games or trying to play Internet-taxing MMOs?

Older games should chug along fine if you are playing them online.  Tunngle has dwindled that capability, but if you can connect to Tunngle you are further than Dial-up ever got me.  Casual web surfing should work just fine too.  If you find your websurfing times are slow, consider getting something like an accelerator or look through the settings on your browser and turn off images.  Normally that will bring your load times down.  There are certain things like download accelerators and other small things that could work, but just be careful when going through this stuff.

But, that's just the basic stuff on your end.  Sometimes, this will not solve your problems.  The other options?  Well, other Satellite Internet providers could be able to give you good prices and speeds, but you may really have to watch your usage.  Although I can see you preferably want cable.  The policy in many areas (including mine) is that so many people had to sign a petition and pledge to use the new Internet if they ran the cables through, which can pay itself off for both sides in the long run.

The reason I could not go this route was due to the fact I was in a rural area (nowhere, no neighbor for a mile), so we could not get signatures other than us.  Your area sounds like it could do this.

Other than this, I can't help much.  At least it's not 56 kbps (we go to relative's houses and use theirs for downloads and videos).

Ok, I will send you three a link in personal messages in a few hours.  There is no rush, do it on your own time.  In the files will be a text file that states the things I have found and ideas that I am considering implementing.

SWBF1 Modding / Re: Sally Strikes Again

SALLY just commanded the enemy droids in my map to quit attacking me.  I was walking around in a group of droids that were firing at my team and they completely ignored me unless I shot at them, and even then all they did was roll.  When I respawned they started shooting me again.

Why, SALLY, why?!?

Requests / Requesting Beta Testers

I need 2 people to test a map I'm working on and tell me a few things:

1.) How the map "feels"

2.) Noticable bugs

3.) Things that need improved.

Post here, and later on I will send you the map to try out.

Ingame, no progress has really been made.  We've gotten the option to show up and could even get past it, but I believe that the SplitScreen is hard coded into the PS2 and Xbox versions, as is their spawn screens.

I've even gotten the PS2 shell to come up at the main screens and had it semi-working, but as far as ingame (on the Battlefront) goes, nothing has worked yet.

Progress would need to be made in the .lua files to call the Splitscreen option at load.  But the issue is whether the Splitscreen is even in the Battlefront.exe.

Was this in place before, or a new mod?

I remember at school one of my teachers had an old computer that nobody could get to work except me, and it ran Windows Server 2000 I think.

My math teacher had a Windows ME computer in his class until 2012 because they refused to give him a new one for so long... big security risk if you ask me.
What's funny though is that as time moves on, Windows 98 and such should become more secure because Microsoft will keep changing their operating systems, and viruses and stuff like that won't be targeted at them.  Although I guess it depends on what files are targeted for that theory to be true.

Thanks for hosting this Snake!  It was fun, even fighting through Tunngle!  And I could not find a way to get the ATTE into the facility... :(

Oh come on LucasFilm. If you're going to do this at least get rid of all the stupid canon TCW introduced.

Although I honestly don't care. It's a shame to see them get rid of a lot of great stuff while leaving a lot of bad stuff but oh well. The only SW media I care about is the movies and SWKOTOR. (I only care about the first game in the series, not the squeal or the MMO.) I will continue to love  SWKOTOR regardless of if it is part of canon, it's more than strong enough to stand by itself.
Let's all hear it for SWKoTOR!  And not the MMO.

The Clone Wars was... well... keep Thrawn, get rid of Clone Wars.  I hope they keep writing "non-canon" books.  I loved most of the series that were produced.

Snake, I tried everything.  Redownloading, eliminating all maps from my mod map folder, switching game folders, etc and every time I try to join it keeps saying that I do not have the map being played.
Even though I do because the name is localized on the screen.  And I have used them before.

This is so much fun.  Great use of Zombies on this map.

Good, someone else thought what I did.
