1) There was no american team lol, people just pretend to be in that team, and so they create ESL Teams.
2) Yeah, becoming a wannabe is just what the community needs.
Faking people s*cks, but i know that u all just wanna be as good as many of us, so if that's the path u choose to follow, it's up to u.

Why don't u work out a little, and try to get some skill in the game, and afterwards create a team which is worth fighting ?

Considering when I click the Team7LIVES link on Widow's profile it takes me to the same Team7LIVES Givil created? Not a fake one. Plus it's pretty well known 7#LIVES started a American team. I wasn't even in wearing 7L tags besides using the name Panama.7L, but since you are a die hard 7L fanboy, I'll explain the joke. We make fun of a American player named Panama by using his name then adding clan tags of some of the best swbf2 clans with it and play scrims like that, like this scrim.

Get skill in the game? If you want, I'll gladly 1v1 you. Wouldn't mind a free win.

Lmao, why do u use 7LIVES Tags lol, u wish u were in that clan, but it died, a part from only german players could join it, lel.

Actually from what I remember there was a American 7#LIVES team, I wasn't apart of it but I know a few fellow Americans who were. Widow_Maker, Bugsy, WhenDovesCry and a couple others.

7#LIVES never let Americans join...

Why does it even matter what name we use to scrim with? If I wanted to wear {U.E.F}Anyder as my name I will. I pay for the servers us Americans scrim on and I will do what I want, Lmfao.

Since Swbf2 hasn't shut down yet... We have started doing daily mix scrims with the remaining good Swbf2 players. We typically do them every night and we were going to start playing SWBF1 maps. I would like to say that anyone from Swbfgamers is invited to join us and if interested you can Xfire me to play.

So a update on the SWBF2 fix. It seems Eyes is working on a patch to fix bugs and redirect to a new master server.

But that is only for a specific publisher.  Since DC's didn't work for SWBF, I would give a 90% chance they won't work for SWBF2.

I always thought DC's would be the answer too, but nope.

I wasn't talking about SWBF2, I was talking about RC since it has a DC. SWBF2 doesn't. But I guess we will just have to see.

Also know that DC's died for SWBF too since they connected to the master server.  This might be the case for RC too.

I asked some people about direct connect and they're basically going off this post.

http://www.ign.com/articles/2014/04/03/gamespy-multiplayer-shutting-down-hundreds-of-games-at-risk

close to the bottom it says "That said, direct IP connection to servers should work even after Gamespy services are no longer available."

Direct Connect may not work:  In SWBF1, the Direct Connect was patched through to Gamespy, even though it only asked for IP address to connect.  They probably did the same thing on most of their games, so it will not work most likely.
As far as the new master server is concerned, good luck with it.  It's going to take a lot of time and patience and trial and error and lots of knowledge.  Tunngle is a little buggy, but always a viable option.

Well I am also on the might not work via direct connect IP end, but a lot of the RC players keep saying it will so I'm just agreeing with them, if it doesn't oh well.

Wow. This sucks.

I can't say I am too upset though, I have fallen away from Star Wars titles like SWBF2 and Republic Commando. I really do miss Chuckin nades and instagibing. I got so darn good at that too! What ever happened to the RC community though? I had played many hours for a couple months straight on one server and got real good, the server went away and so did I. I came back and there was like nobody in the servers. I may have to install RC and play 1 more match.

My main concern is the PSP actually. I know of 5 titles that may still be played online, LBP, LBP Karting, Fifa 2014, Resistance Retribution, and one of the SWBFs on PSP. RR and Fifa must still have online, but how many of those titles are Gamespy? This will really hurt the PSP, especially if the only Title that has stuck with the PSP will not have online.

Is there any way to bring it to Gamespys attention that we would like the software. Heck, all Gamespy users could pitch in and give a little money and we could buy it if they don't give it up.

We should do a RC and SWBFII gameday soon!  :)

I still play Republic Commando. We have a solid amount of people doing mix scrims everyday, and we will continue to play it as the direct connect IP will still work after the shut down. (which is what we use for scrims) As for Swbf2 since there is no direct connect, it will finally die. But I'm quite happy it is going to die and I will not be playing on the  :censored: tungle stuff, though there is a group of people who are in the making of a new master server for SWBF2. How that will work I have no idea, they are looking for someone to help with it who knows a lot about C++ so if anyone is interested you can add them on Xfire to talk about it.

Correct, you might have to do the setup stuff if you haven't already to get your microphone detected as the default input device. Also not sure if this is your first time using it, but those symbols at the top are AFK, Microphone muted and Speakers muted. When you have a little blue circle by your name, that's when you can speak. Since you have the AFK button on, all you would have to do is press it again and AFK will go away.

Edit: If you're looking for players to play with we're normally on this Teamspeak IP address. 23.94.42.102 (same IP but with no port number) You won't be able to move channels so if you see us in a different channel poke us (right click one of our names and hit poke client) and we will give you permissions and move you, we normally get a group of people from 8-10 players and play on the swbf1 map server every night.

Yeah, if you have any issues installing it or setting it up be sure to ask!

Hi ^^ I am hosting a Swbf2 get together and everyone is invited! It will basically be a bunch of mix scrims on Swbf2 with Swbf1 maps. We have a dedicated server hosting them 24/7 if anyone would like to get on and play with us. I assume everyone knows how to install them, but if not all you do is add them into your addon folder inside gamedata. If you don't have a addon folder, create one. The only thing is to be apart of these scrims you MUST have Teamspeak. It's too difficult to set up mix scrims without it. I will post all the information needed below. If anyone has any questions feel free to Xfire me.

Edit: You do NOT have to have a microphone, you just need Teamspeak so you can hear your team and hear when we set teams up.
