download the mod tools, and find the texture you want to edit. Open said texture in photoshop or gimp. Edit, save, then munge finished product. Insert into game folder then enjoy.

It is easy to just edit the skins if that is all you want to do. I love how you say skin editor what comes to my mind is how some tell of something that exist. They can help themselves because there is not one to appreciate what they have. For me a skin editor would not be enough for the changes I like for a simple same like swbf1.
