Really nice stories folks!

For me, I learned to use image editing software making SWBF skins. I also learned valuable lessons about artist - client relations when making textures to order for lots of different people.

What's that got to do with anything you ask?

Well, I've now been a full-time illustrator for 2 years, and I point to the SWBF community as a really important milestone in my career.

Have you tried sending a PM to the author?

Padme is usually portrayed as a thoughtful caring person that values life (established when she is upset over her double being assassinated, fear for the welfare of citizens in TPM).
It may be argued that she ought have had a stronger reaction to the murder of tusken raider innocents, regardless of their limited social prospects.

Further, Padme is a rather liberal minded politician / monarch and would sooner strive to improve the lives of fringe communities such as the tusken raiders than have them executed for their actions.

Also I hate being a pedant, but Tatooine isn't in the Republic, so the raiders aren't killing her potential tax payers.

The flippant answer is that George Lucas is bad at dialogue / script writing and botched Padme's reaction
(indeed Padme is given little reason to like Anakin considering he is largely portrayed as a creepy and frustrated with a poltical perspective completely different to Padme's).

The person who dislikes them is unlikely to respond, and might not even have an account here.

It's best to ignore criticism that isn't constructive, don't worry about it.

Lean into the Tatooine theme and call it Bestine if you fancy, and then make it a night time map with the appropriate sky box oooh.

Yeah it's real good.

Droidekas operate best in groups, they're a great asset to squads or random small groups around choke points.
Like heroes, they're a massive distraction for the enemy and can fire off enough damage for effective area denial. They're great at flanking too.

Their weakness is certainly that they can't strafe well or take cover, and concentrated fire will take care of them quite quickly, similar to a vehicle classes. 

TX-130 plays great, seems more manoeuvrable than the AAT.


I'm still really enjoying this game and the recent update is just fab.

The description is a pasted 'brief' for the mod.

tbh it was 7 years ago, I can't remember even making it, but I do remember reusing that jetrooper for various mods.

Yup, I really wish they'd just gone for SWBF 3 & 4, but oh well!
