Because I was digging around in my closet trying random stuff with my battlefront discs, and I found out that a copy of battlefront buried under my other games actually worked, though there's a crack near the center of the disc, it still works. So for now, I am Battlefront-capable. Can anybody fill me in on DC's, recent mods, and other stuff a person just returning to battlefront would need to know

Just look in the mods/maps section. BD let out a cool map. Napseeker has a new mission map I think.
