the desire to mod is great. why do you want to mod the game? what do you want different?

I am under the assumption that you've done all of those updates from that link. The only reason I think BFBuilder Pro would say that is if BFBuilder isn't in C:/

Since BFBuilder screws up in directories where there's spaces in it (for example, C:/Documents and Settings/*****/Desktop) Put it in the root of your harddrive.

Also for keenmike, you should know what BFBuilder Pro is... If you don't I'm surprised you call yourself a SWBF modder (that isn't an insult, that's a fact)

Also in the future if you have problems opening ZeroEditor (It always would when I reinstall my CD version of Battlefront) then download this:

say hi in the welcome center. i had the bfbuilder for about almost one year before i had enough courage. i read carefully what was needed to use it, and didnt have much problems. this link taught me how i without knowing might have been baiting people into coversations not related to the topic. (http://curezone.com/forums/troll.asp) skelitor, i like my method of modding because i can mod in seconds. i use hex editor and the mission tools. if you can get the core tools to work that would be cool.

BFBuilder Pro has far more modding capabilities compared to hexediting. Not only that but you can map new worlds :D

Anyways, BFBuilder Pro isn't a patch. It's a replacement for the regular BFBuilder. That mean you drag 0 BFBuilder Pro.hta to the same directory as BFBuilder (C:/BFBuilder/) After that, just launch BFbuilder Pro whenever you want to edit a map/mod.

The sound files should be dragged and dropped because they were missing when BFbuilder shipped. As for the rest of the files, just overwrite the new files over the old one.

if it is possible to take out stuff of a shipped map with hex edit, then is it possible to put stuff in and create a new world? if so then it is faster than bfbuilder and fun to see random stuff that might still be online compatible. skelitor, i will be here nightly at wrok online in xfire. i hope i am on when you get your breakthru with your bfbuilder.
