Title: Tunngle HELP!
Post by: {TcF}Dr.Penguin on November 10, 2012, 06:29:07 PM
WELL! I made progress with Tungle but, now I'm stuck in the server lobby and it looks like this

It won't let me join any servers no matter how many times I try, I have tried refreshing it multiple times but, no success, has any one solved this or know how? THANKS FOR REPLY!

They have a troubleshooting page on thier wiki, some of these things might help..

http://www.tunngle.net/wiki/Troubleshooting#Can.27t_find-join-host_a_game (http://www.tunngle.net/wiki/Troubleshooting#Can.27t_find-join-host_a_game)

Also check the "Old Games" section directly under it.  It all seems like good advice.

Thanks Tripider, when I followed this http://www.tunngle.net/wiki/Adapter_Priority I attempted to do it but, I didn't see anything called Tunngle on my Connections list, Is this the same for everyone? Or could this be my problem?

The tunngle download should install one.

I included a pic of my connections window below.

In yours, do you see one with a "Device Name" (the far right column) simular to the "TAP" one?

-edit
If you don't see any TAP adapter listed, then something is preventing it from installing.

They have a few specific pointers on things to watch out for during installation here:
http://www.tunngle.net/wiki/Troubleshooting#Installation (http://www.tunngle.net/wiki/Troubleshooting#Installation)

The big ones being:

So the first thing to do, is uninstall the non working tunngle
Then reboot.
Reinstall, as admin, watch and read all the dialogs.
Reboot again.

If it still isn't working, we will need to see if there is a software or hardware incompatibility happening.

(I'm going over the reinstall stuff because the "helper.exe" that runs during install should be doing the heavy lifting on setting the adapter settings.  If it's being blocked during install we need to unblock it.)
