SWBF I + II for Mac help

Hello all, new to the site after watching Kit Fisto's videos on installing + running BF on mac, so glad I found these videos and this forum.  I'm experiencing trouble with both versions I + II that I'm looking for help with:
I installed CD versions of both I + II on my Intel Mac running El Capistan, followed the links, directions, and steps to a tee but can't get BF I to open when double clicked, nor when opened in window mode, nada. I followed the instructions for BF II with the update post-gamespy but don't see any activity in the server log. Any insight would be helpful

I had trouble with Kit Fisto's tutorial as well. I did everything just as it was shown and still had problems. However, I did solve the problem and can now play Battlefront 1 and 2 on mac. I replaced the Battlefront.exe that Kit Fisto gave with the updated one on this site: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B5oGEaizi4hBT2VjTnlHM1VITU0/edit?pli=1

Just take the .exe and delete the rest of the stuff in the folder. Then, replace the .exe Kit Fisto gave you with the one in the folder. After that, Battlefront 1 worked fine for me. If online still doesn't work on Battlefront 1, try using this .exe: http://www.swbfgamers.com/index.php?action=downloads;sa=view;down=1147

The only problem I had with Battlefront 2 was getting the files from my Wine c drive into the game folder. After that, the game worked perfectly for me and the online worked as well.


I hope I at least helped with the Battlefront 1 problem but let me know if it still doesn't work.

That new .exe worked like a charm, thank you thank you thank you. Still no online multiplayer from within the game but I will keep asking around. Is it that a gamespy login is still necessary to play online even within the game? I can't imagine it would if their servers have been down for years. Anyways, any help with online would be great if you have any.

I think it is not necessary.
I am also often on gameranger to help players to joining us online via gamemaster, they all join this website and try to play online.

The gamespy login is not necessary to play online. If online still doesn't work then try this .exe: http://www.swbfgamers.com/index.php?action=downloads;sa=view;down=1147

Unzip it, rename it Battlefront.exe and replace the last exe with this one. That's how I got to play online on mac. If it doesn't work then I really don't know how to fix it.
