Are you using windows 8 ?  It may try to protect the programs folder, and instead it may be in your APPDATA folder or something.

Yeah I'm using win8. I'll take a look :)

EDIT: Yeah I've got nothing...

EDIT2: I could take pictures of the map in Zeroeditor. Would these work?

Try search for screenshots in this directory:
C:\Program Files\LucasArts\Star Wars Battlefront\GameData\ScreenShots

Yeah there is no ScreenShots folder. I even manually added one and tried to take screens and it didn't work  :td:

Sounds interesting, could we get some pictures? :)

I really would if I knew how...the key command I have set currently is P, but whenever I click it the game just lags for a moment and nothing happens. There is no screenshots anywhere in any of my battlefront files so for that I am sorry :(

I don't know how to get them to work...if you know something or an alternative method please let me know :)

---STORY:---

Clone Wars:

Naboo has been fully subjugated by the Trade Federation. Theed has been conquered without resistance, although the queen is now on the run. With the capital firmly in their control, the Trade Federation turns its attention to the other settlements of Naboo. At one such city, as the approaching Federation armies near, the local government turns over control of the city to the Federation without a fight. The RNSF contingent at this city is outraged, and immediately insistutes martial law. Fighting has broken out across the city. The Federation has all but secured the north half of the city, but a handful of determined defenders continues to hold the north side of the canal that splits the town. The RNSF has secured the entire southern half, as well as establishing a toehold at an outlying command post. The federation has secured a station someways up the river, hoping to perhaps blockade the southern half and cut off the reinforcements for the north shore. They have also taken up position upon a hill just south of the city. Battle lines have been drawn, but the situation for the Royal Guards is nigh on hopeles. However, they do not stand alone...

Galactic Civil War:

With the assassination of the newly elected queen of Naboo by the Empire, the Imperial forces have all but wiped out the military capabilities of the planet. Oppressed by the Imperial governors and unforgiving military moffs and officers, the RNSF at an outlying settlement have once again taken up arms to retain their independence, remembering all too well the occupation during the Clone Wars. Unwilling to be ground under the shined-boots of the Empire, resistance is forming. Their numbers however are not what they once were; they cannot risk taking the fight to the Empire alone or they will be stamped out almost immediately. As such, they send for help. The Rebel Alliance will answer. Smuggling a massive force into the city, rebel fighters supplement the bulk of the growing militia. Using the same tactics as practiced during the previous occupation, the alliance and the RNSF have secured a large portion of the city. The sudden outbreak of violence has stunned the Imperial overlords, and a chaotic battle is about to ensue.

Hey guys! I'm currently out of inspiration and desire to make another map, since I just released my newest Naboo map and don't want to go through the hassle of another map right now, so instead I'm going back and fixing up my already released maps.

I'm already working on a couple fixes here and there, but if there are things that you have noticed if you downloaded this map that you feel need to be altered/fixed/tuned up, post in this thread. If you have feedback about ANY of my maps, please post in the appropriate thread :)

Just found out why which may help you too ;)
I just chose it to Run as Administrator and it worked for me. Just a simple mistake I'd made

I also get that same thing when I open a new map for the first time, but it usually goes away the second time I open it. Doesn't really affect anything to my knowledge

Hey Rex. I can't say I ever played the original SWBF in that time. I was on SWBF2 multiplayer from 2008 to late 2012.

However I saw your mention of not being able to play online anymore, and I have good news! This website has a couple different ways for you to play online again, even though GameSpy terminated support. The one I used I believe was called Gamemaster. Easy to download, easy to use.

Hope you use this or one of the other methods available, and hope to see you online in the near future

I think I have the mod tools stored in my computer somewhere but if not, I'll check here.

I did load it up once but ended up with a dark, empty map (I tried loading up Endor) so I had no idea what I was doing :XD: I will give it a go again soon though. I would really like to create my very own map ;)

Since Mos Anek was you're first map, that is incredible! My first map will be something that would probably make you question my sanity :XD: But I'll try making a map again. I just have trouble choosing what map I want to improve too :/

I can't load up stock maps either. I get a grey field even though I do exactly what Led's tutorial says...Oh well.  It's not too bad building your own maps from scratch. I'd recommend starting with your favorite planet, whether it be stock or one in another SW game. You should be able to easily mix and match assets to get the intended result if you go for something non-stock, though I would highly recommend starting with a stock planet.

I do enjoy them a lot ;) I would also like to start making maps but I have no idea how to get started :/

Well the first thing you will want to do is get the Mod Tools if you don't have them already. I downloaded them off filefront but I'm almost certain we have them here too.

If it's a matter of inspiration or not sure where to start with the physical building, try thinking of a stock map that you might want to somehow improve, or another scenario on a stock planet. That's how I got the inspiration for my Kashyyyk map. You may also want to try drawing a rough outline on paper or in paint.

It's really hard at first (Mos Anek, being my first map, was a bugger to get built, took me 2 months...) but once you get the hang of it, it's really easy.

Omg  I completely forgot who made that map :XD: So sorry haha! It's certainly one of my favourites though ;)
Ah I see, I'll search for it shortly.

Glad to hear you enjoy it  8) It's why I build maps in the first place: So others can enjoy them!

I'm not sure if this site has it but I believe it WAS on filefront before the networked sites got shut down...It may still be on gamefront though.

I wouldn't have expected that! Tusken Raiders? I'm sure you're a fan of Tatooine: Mos Anek then. Has anyone made the Tuscan Raiders Playable for Star Wars Battlefront 1 Dune Sea? It would be pretty cool to be fair.
Nice to see something completely different! And I like how you look at the CIS from how they acted out in the movies too. It's pretty cool!

If I had to choose a faction like those, it would have to be the Tusken Raiders too.

I would indeed be a fan of Mos Anek, I did build that map after all lol  ;)

And yes I also believe there is map out there where you can do that...I believe it's called Tusken Assault. It's Empire VS. Tuskens though, so slightl modified.

Favorite faction? Oh geez...Assuming I can break from the standard playable 4, my favorite is beyond question the Tusken Raiders. Ever since the first time I fired up the Dune Sea and saw there was a third faction that competed for Command Post control, I was in love. I wanted nothing more than to play as them on that map and take the fight to the standard factions. I even went through a phase where I forbid myself from killing any of them, and doing everything in my power to help them "win."

If we have to choose from the standard four, then it's the CIS. Especially the version from Episode 1. I guess my love for them comes from a strategic point of view. They're easy to mass produce and they won't betray you. I love the elegant simplicity of the entire faction.

The REQ of gar files says: gar_hover_combatspeeder
So it should be the name.

I have that in my LUA as posted above under gar_inf_basic, but given the different name needed to get them to physically spawn, I don't think that line actually works. I haven't tested it without it, and I'm not going to for fear messing things up, but it doesn't seem logical to me that it does anything.
