OK, I want to try something--could a Mac owner try hosting a DC server (someone that knows how to set it up with portforwarding :P ) and see if we can join?

Don't believe everything you read on the internet

I would, I really would. Except I don't know the admin password on my computer so I can't set up port forwarding.
As far as I know it should work...

Yeah it was rly funny when we tried that x) :D

As far as I'm aware you don't need to know the admin password on the account. You need to know the admin password your router.
In most cases the website is 192.168.1.1 and the log in is:
admin
<yourrouterpassword>

Some routers have 192.168.0.1 and other variants.

Buckler:
If you want to try something I can host one temporarily (until fam member wants the mac as you can't alt tab swbf).

I think Phobos made a mod so you can alt tab :D

You can alt tab out of SWBF Mac port in everything but gameranger games. For the PC port used on a Mac you can alt tab out of everything.

Can't you control, alt, delete in and out?
I play less now but I'll always be around, lets keep this site and battlefront going. :)

Macs don't have anything like "ctrl alt delete".

I think he means pressing apple;tab. In the port I have you can minimize it, apple;M.
Unit have you tried hosting a DC?

No, on the PC you can get out of the game (without exiting) through ctrl alt delete... it's not like apple/shift + tab or whatever.

I live in a strange place which would most likely cause uber-lag for everybody. Well that's what happened last time I hosted something.

Considering I only played MP I never knew singleplayer could be alt tabbed. That's pretty cool.
