Zero Editor "config.ini not found"

Hi folks! I need some help with Zero Editor.

When I open ZE I get the typical "Runtime Error". This can, however, be resolved by running the program in 'Recommended Settings' (which uses the Windows XP service pack 2). However, I now get this error: "config.ini not found, unable to start".

Why in the world would that be? config.ini is in the same folder as the ZE icon. config does open in notepad though.

Notes: I'm not running ZE through BFBuilder bcs I'm not able to use 'Recommended Settings' that way. Also I use Windows  7 and have downloaded ZE, BFBuilder, ect. from SWBFGamers.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

make sure that config.ini has not been saved as config.ini.txt

Don't believe everything you read on the internet

Ok so I checked out config's properties and it looks like it's just a .ini file. I changed config's default opener but no luck. Is there anything I can do, or is this a completely alien problem?
