Swbf2 was nothing like Swbf1. If Lucas Arts was not on the box cover of Swbf2, I may have never knew they were published by the same company.
A lot of members would disagree with you. The style and mechanics of Star Wars Battlefront 2 was pretty much the same as the original. They just removed some old maps and added new ones and a lot more features, including different game modes.

I believe DICE should not make Star Wars Battlefront 3, due to the fact that they are making it pay to win. This makes it unplayable and a waste of money to those who can't afford/don't want to buy the DLC. And the worse thing about this is the fact that they ALWAYS make the DLC incredibly over priced. Take FIFA as an example.

The Star Wars Battlefront games made by Lucas Arts were better because they just worked well, and it was all free (except the base game which was cheap). Plus, Lucas Arts support mods. EA/DICE despise mods on their games as a passion. So anyone who mods the new Battlefront would probably expect an 'EA SWAT team' at their door.

Play on PC!!!
I agree. I wouldn't want some 5 year old whining in every lobby, while saying he'll molest my mum, while I try to figure out how to mute people.  ;)

It's a hard coded limit.

Be grateful for 500--in the original SWBF, our limit is about 25.   ;)

Wow! 25? I didn't notice that. But I guess it's still quite a bit for Battlefront 1 because there's only one game mode.

Good luck haha! But seriously, I like the new visuals of the game, yeah I guess they are battlefield like and what not, but that's EA's publishing style. The visuals are actually real life footage, eg the x wings are from real life and scanned in. Yavin is a real jungle. I think it's unique and stuff.

I'm more worried about the DLC and multiplayer teamwork aspect. I don't want a game where everyone solos their own multiplayer experience in the hope you win. And DLC is going to be exxxxxppppeeeensive

Overall it will be a success but won't be great...
Yeah, I agree. The visuals are definitely an excellent improvement for sure!

I think we should make our own transparent battlefront game. Like using the existing assets and stuff already made but put together differently.
I will stick to swbf1 and swbf2(space battles only) as I have always had.
That would be pretty cool to be fair. A fan made Battlefront would be good to see. I'd laugh if it got more praise than EA's new Battlefront  :tu:

Ok so I want to see how this works out. I personally hate the look of the new Star Wars Battlefront 3.
Now before you go hatin', it looks NOTHING like the Star Wars Battlefronts made by Lucas Arts, and I don't just mean by visuals.
Yes, the visuals are much more nicer but to me it just looks like another Battlefield game. It doesn't have Space battles either which is why Star Wars Battlefront 2 became the successor of the original Battlefront game. Not only that, I do believe it's going to be an 'Online Only' game. And to place the final turd, it's going to be pay to win. For a fact. Everyone hates pay to win games, especially if they're made by EA. The new Battlefront already costs too much and they're already bringing in exclusives to people who pre-order it.
I believe EA/DICE were exactly the wrong people to take on the making of the new Battlefront.
Let me know what you guys think!

Maybe the AddOn has a modmaps limit  ;) Try removing several modmaps and let us know if it works

However it is weird that u can only see 7 modmaps, I have all the ESL 3on3 modmaps and I think they're at least 8-9...
It turns out when I deleted my Dark Times II mod, the map limit warning stopped coming up.
"Too Many Missions 674>500"
That stopped popping up. Is there some way to increase the limit?
By lowering the limit below 500 stopped some of the crash bugs and also gave me my other maps back.

SWBF2 Modding / Some Maps Not Showing? Please Help!
July 21, 2015, 10:37:40 AM
Hello,
I have downloaded over 20 maps and I have 3 active mods.

I have an issue with some of my maps not showing up. This is NOT an 'addon folder in wrong place' problem as I am getting all my other maps but it seems that my Orbital Strike mods arn't showing up. There are a few other maps as well that don't work.

The mods that I have active are:
- Converstion Pack - Downloaded before I noticed the problem.
- Dark Time II: Rising Son - Downloaded before I noticed the problem.
- Ultimate Battlefront: The Clone Wars - Downloaded after I noticed the problem.

Maps that I have active (not including the maps that come with the mods):
- Abraxas Platform - Not Showing.
- Alaris Prime Assualt - Showing.
- Aldura Campaign Part 1 - Showing.
- Battle Arena 2.0 - Showing.
- Bespin Cloud City V2 - Showing.
- Bespin Escape - Not Showing.
- Bespin Platforms - Showing.
- Bespin Streets - Not Showing.
- Big Battle 3.0 - Showing.
- Capital Down Map Pack - Not Showing.
- CWC Private Anderson's Mos Eisley - Not Showing.
- Dark Space Map Outtakes - Not Showing.
- Death Star 2 Emperor's Throne Room - Not Showing.
- Naboo Riverside Village - Not Showing.
- Naboo Sewers - Not Showing.
- One Map Map Pack - Not Showing.
- Saga Of The 607th Final Map Pack - Showing.
- Seige Of Naboo - Not Showing.
- Space to Ground Map Pack 2 - Not Showing.
- Space to Sky to Ground Map Pack 1 - Not Showing.
- Space to Sky to Ground Map Pack 2 - Not Showing.
- Space to Sky to Ground Map Pack 3 - Not Showing.
- Space to Sky to Ground Map Pack 4 - Not Showing.
- Star Destroyer - Not Showing.
- Starship Troopers - Not Showing.
- Tatooine Outpost - Not Showing.
- Training Intallation IC-177 - Not Showing.

I have played all of these maps but for some reason lots of them arn't working. I have realised while typing this that MOST of them don't work which I couldn't quite notice with the three mods producing about 50 new maps. What makes me confused is the fact that some of them still work though. Would it be a compatibility issue or...?

I hope someone can help me, as I really want to see if I can get most of them going at the same time. Thanks!

Welcome Center / Hello!
July 21, 2015, 10:02:08 AM
Hello!

I have just registered for this website because [Jedi]MonkeyBanana (GameRanger Username) informed me about this site and a new patch.

My name's Thor and I am 14 years old and I am currently studying Computer Science in school. I have recently quit my job as an at-home game tester (just something extra to do in my spare time) but I wasn't getting many jobs so I got bored and quit. In total I earned £235 so that was good. I am currently pursuing the job of a Game Programmer at the moment. Gaming is my addiction.
I have played Star Wars Battlefront for about 10 years now and I still love it. It's probably the only game I don't get bored of. I often play Star Wars Battlefront with mods, however I run into a lot of crashes due to what seem to be, mod compatibility issues. I have recently begun my quest on trying to find a bunch of players who play Star Wars Battlefront 2 still. It's a shame Gamespy shutdown  :(
My favourite games to play are Garry's Mod, Civilization and Grand Theft Auto (besides Star Wars Battlefront). I often play games on Steam, although sometimes I may use Windows or Uplay. I very rarely use Origin because EAs "deals" are bull :censored:

Anyway, thanks for reading and hope you have a great day  :tu:
