This is a small trick that you can use to make Firefox even faster than it is now! It works on all Mozilla-Based Browsers (Camino, Songbird, etc..)
It's quite simple as I will explain here. I've even added pictures for the ones who can't follow directions.
1. Type in about:config. This will appear:
(https://www.swbfgamers.com/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi217.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fcc113%2Ftommmybeny2%2FPicture1-2.png&hash=c5deba1858b54a4047fe8192d3f3c94d7a9b4c9a)
Just say yes to it, but don't do anything stupid during the next steps.
2. Add this to the filter: network.http.pipelining. We're going to change this from FALSE to TRUE.

3. Change the maxrequests to something bigger, like 30.

Follow Red's tricks, too:

Guise, you aren't going to utilize the full potential of that unless you up your http connections.
Go to about:config and filter "network.http"
change "max.connections" to a maximum of 50 (any more and it slows, I have it at 42).
change "max.connections.per.server" to something along the lines of 18-30. (24 for me)
change "max.persistent.connections.per.server" to something like 6-14. (8 Here)
This will help enormously when loading multiple tabs.
4. That's it! You're a genius! Go tell your friends and your family of your accomplishment. :moo:
OK can you tell me how to make them get set? I did all that stuff (backwards). How does it get fast now?
It just generally works faster, and loads pages faster than it originally would.
*Stickied*
Yeah, that's exactly what it's supposed to do and it works.
This wasn't a serious topic XD I made it out of boredom.
So..... If this is faster, why doesn't Firefox just come like this?
The post before your said it wasn't a serious topic. Also, its a couple of years old. I would bet there have been a few versions of firefox since then.
