One more thing of note: The Battle of Jakku DLC will explain how the star destroyer crashed in the Episode VII trailer. (Possible space battle?)
I assume so, but the space battle probably won't actually feature in the game in any shape or form.
Well there won't be "space" battles, but from what I saw in the trailer, there was a scene with TIE's flying out of a Star Destroyer hanger into the fight. So we could probably expect a Elite Squadron-type map layout with it all being played on the same map (No separate space and ground maps to fly in and out of).
That would be cooler IMO anyway.
UUUHG! I HATE HATE HATE Origin and their malfunctioning DRM's! They are terrible! I want nothing to do with them ever again! If you are in doubt check thousands of chat boards with fed up people refusing to play Origin's games after buying games they are not able to play. I am one of them of course.
But I love SWBF! What to do???

Actually, DICE said it won't have that.
The game will launch with
12 MP maps.
http://starwars.ea.com/starwars/battlefront/news/creating-the-planet-sullust-for-star-wars-battlefront
QuoteOf the 12 multiplayer maps in Star Wars Battlefront (there are even more locations when you include the Star Wars Battlefront Missions), some feel immediately familiar — such as the lush forests of Endor or the tundra of Hoth that allow you to re-live your favorite moments from the films. Some of the maps support our epic modes like Walker Assault, while others are tailored to more intimate, close quarters combat. Our goal is to bring a variety of battle fantasies to life, with map design catering to the modes that will play out on those maps. Above all, we want you to create new memories of your own in new places you've never seen before.
DICE also says that there are other maps that are exclusive to missions. And that some areas of Sullust are similar to the Death Star interior.
DICE have confirmed there will be no ironsights, though some rifles will have scopes, and that the AT-STs are freely pilotable.

Vehicle list updated. DICE has confirmed that there will be battles with capital ships.

I'm going to guess something more along the lines of a battle inside the Star Destroyer, but I could be wrong... Although, it would be cool to have that kind of battle, then after each battle on the map, we see a background cutscene of the ship going down. Almost like Nuketown in CoD. Lol
---
Edit:
Also, I'd like to recommend you add that there will NOT be iron sights in Battlefront. Iron Sights were a big thing in the Battlefield series, but DICE recently stated about not finding any of the guns they are adding to the game to ever be without a scope. It is unconfirmed what the exact zoom measurements of the scope will be, however I'm going to guess we'll be seeing anything from 1x zoom to the Battlefield standard 2x, 3.4x, and 4x zooms, as well as Sniper zooms probably anywhere from 8x, 10x, 20x, and 40x. Maybe even further... Lasers can really travel.
That isn't much of a problem. For one thing, the only weapon we know of so far without a scope is the DLT-19, and, from the images I've seen of it, it doesn't look like the kind of gun that NEEDS sights.
I forgot to mention in my post that Hip-Fire will also be standard. :P
Being the way I am, I've got this mindset that Hip-Fire is ineffective unless you have a shotgun.

Stormtroopers are notoriously bad shots ;)
b-but it was intended!

That's brilliant Syyy! I have never thought of it like that!
Edit: I have also heard that in at least one gamemode, the ATATs will be on "rails".

Rails?
Sorry, is that another way of saying they are on a pre-destined path?

Yes
Edit: I know this isn't exactly proof, but this give a general idea of what I have heard: https://www.reddit.com/r/StarWarsBattlefront/comments/331jt8/early_gameplay_impressions_show_that_atat/

In real life? Hip-firing is totally ineffective. I mean, it's good for iconic images of Marines storming sandy beaches with a .30cal mg, but totally unrealistic for actually use.
I for one, kinda down about the iron-on sights but it's not a killer.
As I mentioned, the ATAT seems to be unique to the 'Walker Assault' game mode, which functions like TF2's payload but with lasers.
And yes, they are on a predetermined path, like in the SWBF PSP titles.
GamesRadar just dropped a bombshell on experienced Battlefield players who might've been expecting a re-skinned Battlefield.
http://www.gamesradar.com/no-squads-or-classes-star-wars-battlefield/
No Classes or Squads! I can't remember if it was already said there would be a lack of classes (I faintly recall something), but that's the part that's kinda slapping me in the face. Squad system? No biggie. No Classes?... I'm being tickled by Halo memories at the moment.
This just in: Snowspeeders and the Millennium Falcon are confirmed to be pilotable. (Not the confirmation was really needed)
And that air vehicles will have much easier controls than Battlefield.

FINALLY! I can't count how many times I crashed planes in BF1942!
New info:
- Actual gameplay will be shown at E3 2015.
- There is a mode called 'Fighter Squadron', which obviously focuses on dogfighting.
- Starfighers can be flown in both 1st and 3rd-person.
- AT-ATs have weak-spots which can be reached by infantry via a jetpack.
- The singleplayer/co-op 'Missions' are "where players can, for example, take on armies of AI or test their piloting skills" and are "instant skirmish(s) alone or with a friend"
- All missions can be played in singleplayer or co-op.
Read all about it here: http://starwars.ea.com/starwars/battlefront/news/dear-galaxy
(To me it sounds like "Battlefront Missions" is pretty much instant action under a different name)
Well, we'll be getting our first look at gameplay next Monday. The hype is back!

I look forward to it!
I don't know where you found that hype train but that's the best one I've seen yet.
The anticipation is killing me. Also the fact that they kept the gameplay ground oriented (much like BF1) just makes me all the moar giddy.
More new info:
- The new gameplay at E3 will be of Hoth.
- Hoth's locations will include Snow Plains, Ice Cave and Inside Echo Base.
- Quarrens are a playable race.

Good... that will dispel rumours that each of the maps on the planets are just reshuffled assets. They seem pretty distinctive to me.
My first post has been updated with new info from the gameplay trailer.
IIRC, they also said there will be NO Galactic Conquest, AT-AT will be on a rail, and no Clone Wars.

When in doubt, torrent it like 90% of people do on the internet :XD:
I updated my post. DICE Recently confirmed that Twi'leks and Zabraks are playable. I've also added a list of the mission mode NPCs we know of so far.

We already covered that in the thread. None of those are really game-breaking for me. I prefer quality over quantity. And keep in mind, there's always sequels and DLC ;).
Zabraks? Interesting choice given Zabraks were only officially introduced in the Prequels.
