Well, as far, as I know, this map, is far away from finishing, and it's still under "modeling stage". But some panoram view, already look's beauty, and I, deside to share some of the nice pics:

:o These 2 pictures look just like the movie. Everything is just so amazing! This is surely a map that I will "wait in anticipation" for. Stellar work Sereja. The final verison is sure to bring millions of downloads!

Unfortunately it's still "laggy" to play, and I am again, have to think, how to decrease everything :wacko:.

Thank's for the tips, SleepKiller, I didn't knew, people, already making mods, for Crysis :blink:. I never played it, but on YouTube, graphics look's just amazing, even in custom mods...
Oh, we should be carefully with this, or SWBF gamers, may loose lot's of new beauty maps... :rofl:

Yes, runing around upper bubbles, probably, will be most fun part of it :D.

Yes, it's actualy glass, mixed with shield effect, and glow soft edged transparency for bubbles;
and glass, mixed with bump & hard edged transparency, and glow scroll, for the floor.

Well, it's still far from releasing, since some of important models, still need to be done:
1. Bongo
2. Breefing bubble
3. Opee (sky object)
4. Hospital bubble (from Clone Wars)
5. Lot's of small obstacles: tables, chears, lamps, pots, etc.

How is BFE going anyway? I was just looking through the old topic and I saw that you had planned to get a first build done soon... (we should probably continue this in the BFE topic)

Yea, are you sure you don't work for a major gaming company as a level designer?

This work matches that of Rends, the greatest SWBFI custom mapper. (although Sereja's custom maps seem to surpass Rends by leaps and bounds!)

All I can say is that it's still going, but I'm having to take it slow because I have a load of other projects to do as well. A first build had been put on hold, but hopefully now we have the stuff needed to surpass the original game completely, I hope to find inspiration to continue on.

I concur. Rends was ahead of his time, yes, but the thing he didn't have that you do is the attention to the level of detail.

What kind of inspiration do you need? Maybe this will help. Know that me and my little brother play the Main Play Mod (6.0) version together at least once a month and I play it in singleplayer a lot more than just a couple times a month.  :P There's no other way to put it, your mods are addictive!

Actualy, honestly say, the pics, look's so nice, not because just of my map. I am use "ENB HD mod" upgrade, so, the picture have bloom, and "color softness". It's easy to install, and I even post my version, of correct adjust parametrs for It:

Ha ha, no. I living, in most far corner, of the East Europe, in country, with no any serious movie, or game industry at all, and have a very bored, paper work, not connected, with PC. But, it's give me lot of time, for hobby modding...
Still, who knows, what modern, and great games, or even movies, cud be released, under my direct... :D

I will update pics, when new models, will be finished, so don't miss it! ;)

So, as you can see, bongo, and "breefing bubble" ready, and look's nice...

Actualy, those "breefing bubble" realy confuse me, so I have a question, for real Star Wars fans: if some of the gungans accidentaly, fall down, to the bottom floor, how he suppose to get up from there?   :D

Well there are 2 possible solutions,

1) There is a ramp that you can't see in the movie
2) The simply jump out of the bubble and swim back to the entrance!



Those pictures are amazing. I am looking forward to this more than Nar Shaddaa! It really looks like the map is under water!
How large is the map? Is it smaller than Nar Shaddaa?
And do we actually get to drive a bongo?!  :ohmy:

I was thinking it was part of the ramp you didn't see in the movie, but upon closer examination of this image...

It shows that the ramp is fully in the shot (view right side). I'd have to go with Kit's original explanation though, there's a ramp you don't see in the movie. Which explains THIS image!

Those white floating balls, at both maps, is actualy a godrays, so, they are same size, at both maps, and you can see the difference.
Nar Shaddaa look's bigger, because of lot fake buildings, but actualy this is very similar maps, by size and structure: big building in the middle, and circle of small buildings around it.
Drive a bongo?! :D That's interesting idea, but for some other, probably the first underwater "dogfight" map. Sorry, this time, I do not let you drive it, mostly becouse of clamsy AI pilots. They surely never can safely land it, in bongo hangar. Also, my buildings, become very laggy, if you look at them, from starfighter position. ("Too much beauty at once" bug).

I like the design your custom maps have. The big circle and out lying platforms. It's very ingenious!
It makes sense that you can't drive the bongos.

Hmm... Not sure, what exactly stage, of "texture construct", you interesting about...
Most of textures, I found in the internet, and just copy image, to standard sized tga's, with Paint Shop Pro 7.
And here the way, how I am usualy add materials to models:
Material>Phong>Color(some wrench tool icon)>Image>(Image) New>New From File>Scene_Material.tga (or something else, choose tga from the list in Pictures folder)>(Texture Projection) New>(choose projection).
After that, you may edit them, by clicking Alt+7.

Yeah, figured that out the long and hard way this after noon, trying to get Kamino Topica dome (no, not the stalk one) textured, it took me 2 hours... what does "Phong" mean anyways...?

Well, there is no any new inventions, just smoke and mirrors, as usual :). Secondary lightsaber - simple addon for the left hand, but I made my plasma saber blade, exactly like it was stock, or even better (more concentrated beam), so beauty does matter ;) .
New unit animations? No, it's a little bit out my skills for now. It was just a stock grenade anim, very suitable for twin sabers. Firstly, I made this, when create Komari Vosa, for my Kohlma map:

Have you tried ginev's common.lvl? He repalced the saber animation and it seems to work with some of your mods, most notably it works really well with your nar shadda map. It makes the swing look almost like a combo, or at least it makes great use of the obi wan swing animation.

Seems, Ginev, didn't make a new anim, he just replace it from BF2, by editing common.lvl.
