I will be hosting a dedicated server on gameranger today my room will be the SWBFGamer: Hoth,Deathstar,Genosis
I can also run a room in SWBFSpy lobby's as well same time but it will consume my PC resources so will just run 1 server at a time hope to see some new players for the SWBFSpy soon

I would advise you to use a more alluring server title like low ping or something. Most people already go to the other servers because they know they work. Need to have something other servers don't even if you lie about it because low ping isn't factual
Yes that is true. I shut the server down for now, getting crashed to easy plus want to work on my lag issues also
Do you "home host" or use a company to do it for you? If you want a good hosting service, use NFO servers. Funnily enough that company actually hosts this website and I believe the SWBFSpy mastersevrer if I'm not mistaken

I've used NFO to host gameservers since 2008.
Hi I looked at that NFO looks interesting I will have to wait till end of Month to order it most of my issue are with Gameranger though not SWBFSpy I am running Fiber Optic internet 50 up 50 down but I have to use a VPN to use Gameranger it sucks the life out of my Internet speeds
If you have fiber, you should be fine to host at home. Be sure to do your portforwarding.

Hopefully people like that aren't too persistent, your server is fun. :D
it seems the swbf2 servers get crashed alot does not matter what time of day it is. i find it more fun to play on the lan server. my server is always getting crashed text below happens.

Did you get a look at the dude's ping? Mine is usually anywhere from 60 to 100 on American servers and 160 to 190 on European servers.

You can try opening your game's executable with a hex editor like HxD and going to the offset 001945A6 and changing the single byte 4E to 45. Should stop the crashing. Let me know if it helps
P.S Did you see anyone with the name ADMIN joining? I had a similar experience about 5 months ago or so. I doubt it's the same person though because he knows me somehow
that change was made already on my exe during the times of the server crashing. there was just 2 players at that time of crash jean and me.

Yes it was very frustrating Yesterday with all the crashing it was relentless and they know my name as well Jean they even said my old handle nickname. I do Have Hxd and will try code hope it will hope if not I will just stop hosting. For me I just enjoy to host servers and Since I upgraded my Internet Server to Fiber was hopeing to do better with the pings for all players
I hope you can get this sorted, for me my ping is good on your server and I don't have a choice because on the only other popular server I get booted since my ping is too high there (150-200 :slap:) I'm not sure in a game as old as this one there honestly isn't much chance for you to permanently get of a dedicated malicious user, so I don't really know what to do in your situation, but hey you know how to hex edit not me. I hope you can figure out a way to keep hosting.
Put a password on your server so that the crasher cant join. And look up the server patched executable that fixes the bugs that the kids use to crash it.
