Error When Installing SWBF1 1.2 Patch (EN)

I was playing SWBF on my computer today and I realized that I wasn't using the 1.2 patch so I decided to get it.

I tried the installer the first time and I got this error:



When I got that error, I decided to reinstall Star Wars Battlefront 1 from my ORIGINAL LEGIT DISK and tried the installer again with the same result;



Does anybody know how to fix this or can tell me what I am doing wrong?

I know this method works for fixing the zeroeditor bug and it might work for the 1.2 install patch

Save this code to a batch file and run it then retry to install 1.2

you might also try running the patch with XP compatibility mode.

Probably not it, but I got that error when I replaced the exe but was running from a short cut that was looking for the wrong or old exe.  At least I think that's how I messed it up.  I had to delete the old shortcut and recreate from the new exe in the GameData folder.  I think.
