We have talked with viathan and joseph. there is a problem with gamemaster.
there are only english and german  .exe
it doesnt exist in polish, russian, hungarian etc..
for example : how a player from russia who has his game in russian version get gamespy replacement working.. ?

He can get the file hexedited.
I'd do it myself but I have no russian/italian/whatever exe

I have no idea how to fix it. but we have to find a solution for at least our 9 languages translation.
thats the most languages we need.

They can always just edit the hosts file.  See my tutorial or my video.

I posted hex edits for all languages supported by 1.3 here, if you want I can also upload them for the 1.2 no cd gamemaster. But as Led says, the HOSTS method is simpler.

But it's not recommended.

The GameShare/GameMaster guys who host the new masterserver and patched the game explained in their ReadMe file how to edit your own .exe file.
It's very simple. If you cant get this to work, contact me on xfire (212revan) and I'll patch it for you.
But try it before pls

Rage already uploaded all languages patches, Viathan (read post above urs)

I thought Rage patched the 1.3 version?

I do not recommend it, cuz it's the windows host file and as far as I know, every gamespy application will try to connect to this server.

Even though I also edited my hostfile.. (I dont use any other gamespy application)

This ^^

The issue is discussed in my tutorial about editing the hosts file.

I think the group of SWBF players that also plays something other than SWBF that also uses a new Masterserver replacement for gamespy is approximately zero percent.

If someone's language is not supported by the patches that phobos made then I will still claim the easiest, fastest, least error prone method if a hosts file edit.  If you run a server, this is also the easiest way to take care everything, too.

1.3 beta for the original SWBF is really a non-starter until we have a no-CD version.

So, I am back! And With the host file dilemma, most GameSpy games will use a different host name (the same server, but a different host name) than SWBF. This just makes it easier for GameSpy to develop the game. This shouldn't cause a problem.
