I did not test all units, but it appears to work for me:
Double check your file copying.  Post a screen shot of your folder with file details and that could help us determine what your problem is.

where? I also heard macs cant make maps im using one right now.

Try not to have two posts in a row please, modify your previous post whenever possible.

Look for the board that says Modding Tutorials.

You will need to run Zero Editor to make maps.  You will need to run it on a PC or in PC emulation.

You know, as a student I get paid nothing to basically do the same thing as them in gym class...think I should do the same thing?

The difference is that no one would pay to watch you play basketball  ;)

The best way to get a map made it to make it your self.  Please visit the tutorial section, and give it a shot.

Please give us more details, what have you tried, what was the problem, and what version of windows are you using.

Also, it would be helpful if you pasted the instructions into this post, too and let us know what causes you trouble.

syrion, I said I could play jeeeeeeeeez, It's just the other guys.

Yes, I understand the both of you and Syrion are around.  Zap and Q lose by forfeit--you move up in the bracket to play me and Quiz in the next two weeks.  Sound resonable?

#5829
OK, Fire and NiceGuy are out for various reasons.

Zap and Q are out for other various reasons.

Schtick and sleepkiller also appear to be out, at least as a team.

So, here is what we do:

Bam and scrap, post here
Crusader and Darth, post here

if only one team posts in this thread by 7/15/2011, then they win by default

Syrion and Unit33 vs Led and Quiz

Syrion, can you contact Unit 33  to make sure he can play?  If you can't find him, get someone else
to play, by 7/15/2011.
Let's play our match by 7/15/2011 I have been in contact with Quiz

ModTester and Fordo vs Bacarra and Festus
Modtester has been in contact with me, if Bacarra and Festus dont post here by 7/15/2011,
then Modtester/Fordo will win by default

Isn't the non-compatibility something to do with the executeable? Wouldn't it be breaking the EULA to fix these problems?

Well, this idea would not be a exe hack.  It would be a registry hack, i.e. make the installer think that the it is installing over the top of the english language 1.2 version (assuming that a registry setting is what controls the install process).

It is possible that the installer reads the 1.2 executable, but I kind out doubt that, more likely a configuration file or something.

In any event, this, so far is an excerise is seeing what the install process is *doing* not changing the exe.

Hi SWBFgamers,

In previous discussions we have talked about 1.3 beta, and the issues it has--not compatible with Best of PC (BoPC) and not compatible with non-English versions.

I think the reason it wont upgrade those systems is that the installer checks to see if it is the correct version, perhaps by checking the windows registry.

Does anyone want to help me investigate this issue?

Here are some advantages if we could move the community to 1.3 beta:

-----------------------------------------------------
CHANGES FROM 1.2
-----------------------------------------------------

Multiplayer

- Unlocked frame rate
- Better tolerance of latency spikes and frame rate spikes
- Fixed an end of game hang
- Better smoothing of predicted positions and orientations
- Allow more maps specified from dedicated server command line
- Better Droideka prediction
- Added remote admin support for those hosting dedicated servers
- Tighter clock synchronization under normal conditions
- Fixed joining servers behind most firewalls
- Allow more mod maps (was 50, now 512)

When will it be done?

Please be patient 141...  let the modders know their efforts are appreciated, and give them enough time to do what they can.

Hi Weili,

yes, there are about 100 PC players on at any given (reasonable) time of day.  The mac side has slowed down a lot, maybe due to the recent move from MPCgamers.

You should check out some of the things the modders have done.  There are some simple incredible things.  Many things require no download.

Let me know if you fire up your game disk, I will be sure to host a DC!
