Let the tournament begin!  Teams need to contact each other to start the first round (note that some teams dont start until the second round).  The seeding process was random.

(note that this is a single elimination bracket.  if we did a round robin, each team would have 11 matches per week!)


Have fun, play nice, and report your results!  You have about one week to complete round one.  We can accommodate a couple of late teams, so its not too late if anyone wants to join.

Hey, I was wondering, any chance you could put the Dark Trooper duckhunt server back up? I liked to use that for sniper practice, and I think some other people did too.

Hot soup, Snake, and Schtick, what time zones are you in? I'm in Eastern time,  and I'm almost always free from between 9-10:30 PM  EST.  I don't see the matches taking longer than that, do you?

Hey the Bracket's changed  :shrug: But anyway ^snippers^ and it appears to be Snake and Schtick an ideal time for me would be 6PM to 7PM Pacific Stranded Time. Does it work for anyone?

I'm in central US time. I can usually play at night on fridays and saturdays at around 8 eastern or 7 my time.

@ Sleepkiller — 6PM to 7PM (Pacific)   =   8PM to 9PM (Central)   =   9PM to 10PM (Eastern)
Which works for me Thursday & Friday for sure, Saturday & Sunday probably.

@ San/\ke  —  Is that close enough for you?

@ Snippers  — chim in.

To be consistent with the parameters for the tournament, you should use the CC map/mission file that has been modded for use with the tournament.

Yeah I'm around so yeah attendance isn't a problem for me.

I think ^snippers^ was referring to Sleepkiller & ^snippers^ vs sn/\ke & SchTicK. The winner takes on you and Festus on another date.

The time sounds good with me ^snippers^. I think sna/\ke needs a map file first though.

the time works for me but yeah for some reason cloud city is completely black, I'm not sure what I did but It makes it really hard to play.

Well, according to this site http://www.worldtimezone.com/utc/utc+1200.html you are 16 hours ahead of me. So that would be 1:00pm, Saturday afternoon. I would double check it though.

Since the tornados came through town, I have been without power for a couple of days, and although the power is back and so is some internet service, my internet is really slow.

So, the DC set up for the tournament is down until things clear up.  Continue on though, if you can.

sn/\ke & SchTicK vs SleepKiller and ^snipper^ may need to be postponed. Unless someone with a fast connection can host a Direct Connect for us, you see I'm a Mac.

I can try to host a DC...i havent tried before, but i can get someone to help me out.

Shap and Viking are european. Fordo and I are american. So it will be difficult to arrange a battle because of the difference in time zones.

My Internet service is restored, so I have put the DC back up.

Saturday at 3 pm eastern time usually works well for the European players.

Yes, I don't believe anyone has had a match...perhaps I just need to set a time for round one, and if a team can't make it, then it will be a forfiet.

A solid time frame would be good.

Festus has kinda been on and off lately and I'm not sure if he's a solid partner for the time being. I can take on two people at once if need be, but I would still like to have a partner. So if anybody is interested, shoot me a PM. Thanks!

I dont like the idea of someone else making the time for someone else. It could cause too many forfeits, and many things tend to come up. Maybe making a deadline for the battle? and if only one of the teams is cooperating forfeit them? Just an idea

The deadline for round one has already passed (it was one week) and not one match has been played.

If neither team makes arrangements to play, who wins the forfiet?

Either we are interested in doing this, or we are not.

I had some interruptions to the DC due to the power loss, so let's figure out a way to get this thing rolling.

I'm not sure. Is there any way that someone could substitute for me? As that would probably be best  as I'm not entirely sure what is happening this week for me any other week would usually be good.

I've been trying to get in my round too but Viking is never on at the same time Fordo is. It is because they live in different time zones and cannot play the same time frame.

The DC server is back up, and I have a good transfer speed.  You may need to play out the tickets on the map to restart it at 25-25 though.

Led you don't have to adjust the bracket. We finally found a good time to fight Viking and Shap. The first round was hosted by me and the second by Shap to make up for time zone PING differences.

Okay it took less than 5 minutes to completely repair the bracket using paint. I suggest forgetting the whole HTML thing and just using paint or gimp to update it from now on.
