"Your CD key is not authorized" possible solution
possible issue: game was copied instead of installed, and a registry key was not created
run (as administrator) CDkey.exe located in
C:\Program Files (x86)\LucasArts\Star Wars Battlefront\Install
enter a key
reboot computer
play game, report results here
It did not fix it; will try alternative as discussed earlier. EDIT: right click, run as administrator did fix the registry
EDIT: Alternative did not work; if someone else has a registry fix please post otherwise if I get time after taking care of all these little battlefront soldiers I'll attempt to create one as a "quick fix"
EDIT #2 here is a registry update that will add a key to windows 64-bit machines. Admins please feel free to edit / move it / reword / arrange.

after installing, reboot may be required to make it work
