If I'm thinking on this right - It's a server for BF 2004 right?

Honestly, trying to make MP work on a game and using modern server technology... Idk how well that would mix.

There's always a lot of talk about Battlefront 3, but in my opinion, that title is cursed. We almost had it once, but then it got cancelled.

I don't think we'll be getting a Battlefront 3, it honestly makes no sense to cancel support for Battlefront 2 right when it was just starting to get good again. If EA had given DICE time to implement some sort of monetary system that could earn the game more money, like PAID DLC, or something like that. Then I think the community wouldn't have minded.

They left the game in a strange state:
- Tons of bugs that were meant to be fixed haven't been fixed.
- Maul's new skin requires 5000 kills (No assists) and a large chunk of the community dislike this.
- Maul's new skin isn't actually that accurate, according to some of them. His rebels appearance doesn't show much of the robotic legs, since at that point in time, he had them changed.
- They made Grievous too powerful, his claw rush destroys blaster heroes.
- OT Supremacy is underwhelming since it only lasts 1 round (Due to no capital ships) and the Empire stomps right through the Rebels in almost every match.

TROS Repaired what TLJ did for me, I honestly think that if JJ was in charge of TLJ then it wouldn't have been as bad it was.

Though, I did like how they took multiple things from the expanded universe and placed it in this film.

I rate it at least a 4/10, with TLJ being a -6/10.

I'm also biased in the area where I prefer TCW, The Mandalorian and the OT films over anything else to do with star wars.

Will this be ported over to BF 2 2005?

The most elite troopers in the Republic's Army has finally arrived, and they're super fun to play!

The Republic Commandos are here, there are also mods that add Omega Squad!

Some of you might not remember me, I've not been here in a while.

I think when using /win you can set the resolution (default 640x480 maybe?)  Try to set it like this:  battlefront.exe /win /resolution 1024 768

edited due to the fact you need resolution
This may also help: http://www.swbfgamers.com/index.php?topic=10816.msg107141#msg107141

The one you said: /win /resolution 1024 768

Doesn't change it at all. I'll take a look at the post.

Sorry to interrupt but I was told that we can get the game in windowed mode but is there any way to make the window bigger? Cause right now it's a small window when the game boots up.

You can add /win to launch options for windowed mode and also add /nointro to skip loadup screens and go right to profile selection

It only comes up as a small square, how can I make it bigger in windowed mode?

You can also play the game in Windowed Mode.

How? I couldn't figure that out?

They've actually done it!  :o
The menu buttons are small because 1080p is not an original resolution for the game. It's something I've learned to deal with in the game and I prefer it over the black bars on either side of the screen in the default resolutions on a widescreen monitor.

Understood, thanks for clarifying, and yes I also prefer the 1080p resolution over annoying black bars.

Rolling is A/D (left/right) and Spacebar (jump).  There is no sprint feature in BF1.
As far as the menus, I don't play in 1920/1080, so there may be someone who knows better.

Cheers, and I knew it had it somewhere. But thanks, I know the game released not long ago so I'm going to give it some time but it feels great to play on these old maps that I remember from my childhood!

Hey all, it's been a long time since I've been here but I've come back after hearing about the release of the 2004 game on Steam.

I have hopes that they will release multiplayer support for this game as they did with the 2005 game. The 2004/2005 games were my childhood and I hope to continue playing them. I was never interested in buying the game on disc, hoping for a digital release someday and it happened.

I just have one question though, I guess rolling and sprinting was never a feature in this game? I can't remember back to when I originally played it as a kid. But, I can't find any options to sprint/roll. And, when I pause the game the menu buttons are super small. I have it on my normal resolution of 1920/1080. I'm guessing there are mods to fix this?

Glad to be back temporarily.

He hasn't been out for long and I've had the chance to play him a few times. His default attack doesn't include his 4 arms like it does in OG BF 2, but instead his 4 arms are included in a lunge ability.

And he comes with 2 skins, his basic skin which is just what he looks like normally and then we have his battle damaged skin:

This skin isn't that great as it only includes a few edits to the base design. And these are his abilities:

They're fun to play with but the thrust surge ability is one that doesn't always kill the enemy, you have to actually line yourself up to make it work. Which in my mind is bad design.

Overall, I prefer the OG BF2 Grievous. Yes, this Grievous was long awaited but he feels way too clunky to have been in the works for a year...

Also, I'm back for now. xD

Well, what did we know? This is going to be fun, the gamemode is meant to be capturing command points, does that remind anyone of anything? (The gamemode in BF2 2005.)

I just hope the roadmap we're getting at the end of this month will reveal when we're getting what!
