Title: Blender -> .msh export or converter needed
Post by: Viathan on June 06, 2015, 08:26:20 AM
Hey,
I wanted to ask if someone knows a plugin for Blender that can export msh format or a 3ds or obj to msh converter?
(Or maybe, worst case: another program. XSI is as far as I know not freeware?)

What is it you're trying to do? There are exporters out there if you're looking to make prop assets (you can find them on Gametoast). If you want to make anything animated, however, you will need a version of XSI. Fear not, though, as you can get Softimage Mod Tool 7.5 (it's essentially a light edition of the standard XSI menat for hobby game modders or people who can't afford the full Softimage - and yes, it's 100% free), and use the ZETools coded by ANDEWEGET to create animated meshes, including unit meshes.

Download Mod Tool 7.5 here: http://www.moddb.com/downloads/autodesk-softimage-mod-tool-75

And the ZETools can be found here: http://www.gametoast.com/viewtopic.php?f=36&t=26664

Hi,
thx for your answer. I just want to export my models and some edited stuff (no animations)
I just don't want to install or download hundreds of files for just exporting as msh format. So a simple converter or plugin would be dope

Edit: Gametoast search: exporters: msh export; blender; blender msh; ....
No results that helped :(

Edit #2:
Followed posts by a guy and saw a post about exporting
