SWBF1 Modding / Texturing Question

What does "TEXTURE.tga.option" files do?
And is it possible to give every Mesh / Model a lowrez texture? I want to make Wireframes for Ammo and Health Droid, but a Lowrez texture is very needed for that.

SWBF1 Modding / New Crosshair by editing .odf

Hey everyone,
I had edited a little bit the odf files.

In the allianz vanguard launcher.odf I found these lines:

LockOnRange      = "175.0"
LockOnAngle      = "6.0"
LockOffAngle      = "10.0"
LockTime       = "1.0"


I changed them to:

LockOnRange      = "0.1"
LockOnAngle      = "0.1"
LockOffAngle      = "0.1"
LockTime       = "0.5"


... Ingame, i get a new Crosshair?!
(so far as i know its multiplayer compatible)

Hey,

I think everybody knows the "Jabba Map"

If u chosse a trooper u will see that the unit is "shiny".
Well, ik SK had posted a tut, but what is NOW the best way, to make rly good Shiny (Sleepkillers or serejas method?!)
Maybe u can post (if needed) a updated tut.

Hey,

I've created new weapons for all sides. But if im playing there only stand as wepon names: 0x

Can i give my own weapons a new name?

(Its a new .odf + _ord + _exp for all weapons.)

Hey there.
I had a question,

If i mod the core.lvl (with HexEditor), it is very simple to change, commands and otherthings, like buttons etc.

I had edited the "Loading" screen, it works fine :P

The font color is white, is it possible to hexedit the core.lvl that the loadingscreen font is for example: black or red?

Btw it is possible to do that with the Core.lvl Builders? I have never used a core builder so idk :P

Hey all,
I actualy work on "perfect" wireframes for swbf..
Sleepkiller helped me a lot. But the wireframes was not so good as Belks..

So i read about a XSI-Editor, it can extract .msh right?

I searched it, but i dont found a good download link, maybe someone can post a link? :)

Ill sahre my knowledge, if its perfect.

Hey all,
I know how to HexEdit the .msh files for transparency,...
I tried it so many times...
One time the ATAT is invisible, or game crashed and so on...

Maybe a little , small tut :)  thats so cool :)

I have played Bf2 just 4 Fun and I saw this:

In Battlefront 2 u can see the health of your mates!
Now my question, does anyone know how it works in bf2? And is it possible to make it in Battlefron 1??

That will be one of the most useful mods!

Hope someone can help me.

(And @ SleepKiller, Bamdur said u can help me with an "small" builder for the Ifs_pausemanu script, maybe we can contact us on xfire/skype or via pm)

Hey guys,
i have downloaded the Shell .tga Builder and the RedShellBuilder.....
(i want to edit the rotation disk  http://www.uploadagent.de/show-181885-1327133115.html   )
In the Shell .Tga builder there is no rotationdisk picture Oo
But in the RedShellBuilder is a rotationdisk.tga
I have edited it, but....wtf.... i cant munge it, there is no new file created....
Maybe someone can help me how i can edit the RedShellBuilder....

Hey guys ;-)
My friend wants to know, it is possible to remove the grass from Yavin 4: arena (for seeing mines, for example)
I said, I think so ^^
And i tried it out with zero editor to remove it,

Hey all.
I have found out how i can add Maps to the Dedicated Server Software (-->AddOn)
Its pretty easy,
at first u have to make your map.
then u get the "self-created" Addon map (bfbuilder-Pro)
And put this in the dedi server software AddOn folder.
Then u need o make a little script:  mapinfo
(its a normal .txt file)
Then u write these lines in the file:


CW,MAPNAME INGAME CW,MAPc,CIS,republic,200,200
GCW,MAPNAME INGAME GCW,MAPa,alliance,imperial,200,200
--------(The name of the map Ingame)///And this, example: tat3

and put it in your map fiolder (where the addon file is)

........ ok
Thats all

Now my problem:
I have made a "ESL-1.0 Map" and i want to add it to the server software, i have made the script......
But the server crashed......


CW,YAVIN 4: ARENA-1.0Mod CW,yav2-1-0c,CIS,republic,200,200
GCW,YAVIN 4: ARENA-1.0Mod GCW,yav2-1-0a,alliance,imperial,200,200

Thats are the lines i have wrotten.
(The map is perfectly working on own hosted servers, (by the game)
Maybe someone can help me :D
