Title: SW: EAW Death Star
Post by: TheGangstarTY on December 13, 2016, 12:19:30 PM
How do I destroy the Death Star? It doesn't tell you anything and it gives you 60 seconds to figure out what to do and I still don't have a clue.

I searched up on it, I either find stupid modded versions of the game or I'm told "Luke needs to survive" (easy, done it each time) and "All enemies must be eliminated in 60 seconds". That last one is stupid, it can't be done. How am I supposed to get 6 Mon Calamari cruisers past a nebular field to take down 3 Star Destroyers in 60 seconds, as well as the other 2-3 victory cruisers?

Are there any files I can edit to make the Death Star automatically fail?

Strange, for me all I have to do is win the battle with Luke surviving, no matter the time limit. In my game the Empire doesn't destroy the planet even when in range. They only do it if they win the battle.

If I remember well (it has been 5 years since my last match on this game) you don't have to be worried about the time limit.

I managed to defeat it in the end and that's kind of correct but there's a glitch. If you have ANY ground units on that planet, you have to move them out. I'm not sure but I guess it tricks it into thinking the Death Star has already destroyed it but it worked and stopped at 0 and I still won after by keeping Luke alive.

Perhaps I just had some odd issue then. Because I saw in other people's games they it work exactly how you said but for me as soon as it reached 0 it would enter the cinematic of the Death Star blowing up the planet. However when I took my ground units out, the time limit stopped at 0 and the Death Star did nothing.

Oh well, it was pretty annoying but hopefully it help other people if they have the same issue. Thanks anyway guys!
