My specs

Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit SP1
Intel Core i5 4430 @ 3.00 Ghz
8GB RAM DDR3

DELL Monitor 1708FPBLK

NVIDIA Driver 353.06
GeForce GTX 650 2047MB
SLI Disabled

On-Board Intel HD Graphics 4600*

.NET Framework versions
4.5
4.5.1
4.6
4.6.1

The fix? well, first of all I had the on-board graphics enabled, then I connected a VGA Cable to the free VGA input on my monitor since the NVIDIA card is connected through DVI.

Now ZeroEditor runs, need to test it and all but no more runtime error, no compatibility mode, no admin elevation, nothing, just plugged in the on-board graphics, please tell me if you get it working (assuming you didn't), looks like NVIDIA was still the problem.
When you create a mod and get no feedback it feels cheap, leave a comment or tell me to go elsewhere.

I think he was going to GT to find out how to run zeroeditor, but since it's not working, surely someone here can help him. Unfortunately my area of knowledge is SWBF1, so I'm afraid I can't help with that, but I'm sure someone can.

Well, is the usual Win7 problem for ZeroEditor on SWBF2, I wanted to see GT just in case they finally found a reliable way, but if people here are able to relay the info then I can wait.

Runtime error, always, apparently a few Win7 users don't get it, but the majority does.

nVidia GTX 650, I heard ZeroEditor doesn't like nVidia, I have tried all other options, well, except one, is there a way to use my on-board intel chipset to run it in a separate monitor?

Necromancy aside, no need to make a new thread for this, just to inform you that using a Virtual Machine with Windows XP doesn't work either, my days as a map modder seem to be over.

Windows 10 over here and I still haven't found a fix yet. Every post I've made about it seemed to have died down without a solution. If Anyder is able to find any solution that may work, I'd be happy to hear it ;)

Some systems work and some don't.  Gametoast has a lot of suggestions, but in some cases it can't be fixed.

I have some computers that it will work on and some that it won't, too.

Don't believe everything you read on the internet

When i installed the modtools/zero editor on my computer it didn't worked at the begining (Im on Windows 7 ultimate). But i remember someone gave me a BF2 Modtools fix. This could fix and your zero editor issue...probably.I was also getting runtime errors. Also make sure that the path for your modtools dont have free space between the words.Example:

D:Modtools/My projects.........  (bad)

D:Modtools/My_projects........  (good)

I think in gametoast you can find the fix for Windos 7/Vista.I hope i helped somehow.

Someone told me to try that, didn't work for me :( The rule is, spaces CAN be bad. However I must hence the word "can" as mine did work even though it did have spaces. Until I upgraded to Windows 10.

GT seems to be down, if someone has the fix to reupload it will be highly appreciated, the spacing thing I haven't checked yet.
