I think if you looked far enough back, you would find it to be some sort of fall harvest festival/moon festival/equinox festival that was taken over by some group or another and attached other significance to it.
In my personal mythology, halloween is candy night. :)

Indeed, it is the equinox festival of the sugar harvest. ;)
It's originally just pagan/Celtic/Roman shenanigans celebrating the end of summer, you know before there was a concept of Satan in old Britain.
Satanists just happened to adopt it as a day of celebration later on.

It was dull here, it rained so nobody bothered. It rains most of the time anyway, you'd think people would "man-up".
Because of an :censored: who threw a bengal into a club where many ppl were celebrating Halloween.
3 girls died asphyxiated and 2 are in the hospital.
One of these girls was my friend, who everyday I used to see her cause she lives in front of me.
She died asphyxiated cause many people were over her (literally).
