I guess only console and "Classic" (that strange, but i guess their a reason behind it, smth to do about memory i guess?), that would be able to get more mods class restored, that can be a reason to buy it for that.

Unfortunately, it's not that simple. For 2 reasons.

1: The person I've tested this with has a literal copy-pasted mod install to my own. It is 100% identical.

2: It crashes my own client even when hosting an MP match with no one else but myself present. So it can't be due to a mismatch since I'm the only player in those tests.

Sounds like a client/host mismatch. If you have heroes in your script that aren't present in the scripts of other players in the match, it'll crash.

Creating a separate topic for a secondary issue I brought up in this thread a few months ago:

I've created new heroes by copying assets from BF2 and modifying the stock SIDES and MISSION.lvl to load them in each level.

It works perfectly fine in SP, but an MP game crashes as soon as one of the new heroes spawn in. The MP maps work fine if Heroes are turned off, and maps with only the stock game heroes also work fine in MP. So the issue lies somewhere with the new custom heroes and only specifically in an MP game.

Does anyone have any idea why MP would crash but SP doesn't? Is there any way for me to get a useful error log to post here?

Any help would be appreciated.

For SWBF2, the LUA format is unchanged, so you should be able to change and munge a new mission.lvl.

Is it possible to edit the lua for the classic collection of swbf2? I'm trying to change some of the maps' heroes to darth vader. Not sure if it's possible, I do have the modding tools installed properly.

As an addendum, unless you're modding the Classic Collection version of the game or the console versions, you are restricted to a total of 5 unit choices per side.

I have no idea about if those mods have any source to be downloaded somewhere, but these "cut" content mostly comes from SWBF1 Xbox beta I guess...

Apart from that, some units like the Clone Commander can be found in the SWBF Modding Tools assets, even there are textures which were scrapped from the final game. But these stuff needs to be fixed in order to make it working ingame.

Interesting findings!

I suspected that Elite Training would indeed be related to an increase in difficulty against the player-controlled side, but I think I have never noticed it enough since I started playing SWBF.

Of course their no links (would be great to have the Iso), and its quite old and obscure, but saw it somewhat done.

Wouldn't a "director's cut" mods that brings back all those cut content back in be a good stuff ? their the maps already arounds to play.

And could be nice with the SWbf2 maps/skin pack conversion to had the officier skin too?(magnaguard/male bothan/snow clone;marine)
