Is there a way to make it so you don't have to run SWBF2 with the disc in the computer?

I can't find my disc lol not sure where it got miss placed too its been like 4 years or more since I have been on it.

Yes swbf1 and the problem I am also coming in to is the router isn't mine haha its my dads and I have no clue how to work it or what any of the passwords are and he doesn't want me to change anything because hes afraid someone will come in and hack everything badly

In fact i'm not sure that we have just one router.... though I have a separate one I found for free after a garage sale and I was wondering would it work to hook a cable from the other system to that router and from there hook it up to my computer would that bypass my issues?

I should add i'm not that good of understanding things that are written since I am literally a visual learner I took a class where most of the stuff was on video and I didn't study anything but I basically got the exam 100% correct just because I remembered everything from the videos see for somethings my mind is like a steal trap haha

So things like written explained documents on how to make and work things don't always work for me and that is actually one of my disabilities

is there an update I need to get for the dedi server to work on swbfspy?

And yes I guess i'm stuck if you want i'll let you screen share to help me figure out what it is i'll type in blank page if theres anything else I think of at the time or message through discord or steam

also I forget is there a program I need to get to edit .bat files?

(Heck I should probably just rent a server but the thing about that is I currently don't have enough money for that kind of thing.)

Okay so Quick question can someone make a video tutorial on this for some reason I don't understand somethings well with out video

how do you figure out how you should go about getting the information to make the mapinfo text for a modmap that doesn't have one? for example if you come across a map called RLcT: Beachhead (Which can be found on www.swbfgamers.com least it could last I checked.)

((This is for Led: Would I be able to add some random maps and mods I came across long time ago to this website? (I can no longer find them online, and it would be sad if my hard drive dies again and for all of them to be permanently lost, of course I can show you any files before uploaded if you wanted.) Oh I just thought of this the guide above says there are updates: where exactly can I  find that on the site that might be part of my problem

And last of all on my computer the command section as like stated above that you can edit for like no aim assist and stuff how would I go about editing that as it is basically off my screen and I couldn't resize the window and not only that but it seemed that I couldn't edit it or type anything either as in when I clicked on it I didn't see a typing curser appear

okay well I have overwolf the thing is I don't know how to get it to work ingame and I can't figure out how to use it to take videos and screenshots

I also can't figureout how to take plain screenshots on swbf I have no Screenshot folder and I hit screenshot buttons and don't get any pictures hence why I used to use xfire

Okay so i'm not exactly sure but I thought at one time I had found an option on swbf that's lets you play the game with a timestamp because I know I had a timestamp on swbf ingame before and I don't remember how exactly I did it this was helpful for me so I would know what time it was how late its getting excetra anyways the point is i'd like to be able to keep track of time without exiting the game or trying to look at another device or something id like to glance at the top right corner and see the time so I don't skip 2 meals or miss appointments and stuff so if anyone could help with this situation to figure it out that'd be great thanks and i'll leave an example picture so you know exactly what I am talking about

But a small town of cource. you could go to google earth and find a town
small enof to put into SWBF1 or you could make a walmart interior map

I have actually also wanted to do this I have ideas for a maps and have pictures on my old phone that I wanted to make to use to have a battle at a factory and on the street and the map wouldn't be any bigger then Bespin platforms I believe.

I just lack the capability to do this on my own and I also have some ideas to over haul the map Bespin cloud city and add somemore things that would the map even more fun awesome cool yet harder and easier as well. I so want to make this one happen its my major 1 goal I want to accomplish

it might a little imposable of an idea but not to far fetched if its small

but anyway i think i'l go get all the earth like assets and then go to the
asset request topic and request some assets for a earth town map

I have some earth maps as well and they do have buildings in it its not an Egypt, Russia, or Iraq Map either.

If you want just message me and I can try and dig them up, back in the day I started downloading as many maps and mods as I could just incase things like sites starting shutting down and I was going to keep them to repost them online if need be the only thing is that some of them don't have read me's and I don't have a way to contact the creators.

I do as well have a few maps that Froggy made, and I also have a map of tatooine Boontas Eve race! with a nice paintball area and a town and some flying and ground ships as well, and maps that aTaC  (LOL sorry i'm tired I ment to type AaTc haha), and RLcT clans made.

Okay so I have swbf 2 installed on my Desktop and I want to play swbf 2 online is game master and stuff still the way to go or has it all switched to swbfspy as well and if possible i'd like to be able to host a sever without having to edit hosts files as well, on top of that I don't know how to even be on my own server like as in battling while I am hosting I've tried before but It just gave me a screen where I don't remember all it was but I think there was an end server and boot options for booting people but I didn't see anyway I could play it..... I don't know a lot of this stuff is hard for me to learn cause of my learning disabilities but if its broken down and slowed up for me a bit I can learn it easier I don't know, theres a lot of things I want to do but its a drag to do it but I want to but its a drag cause its hard for me to learn and take me a long time to figure things out lol.

Great now i'm gonna lose you in my rambled on post I think a lot and too much out loud that it just transfers and leads to something else, and then when I want stuff to come out I miss words I say in my head so its confusing to people lol

Also is there mod tools like there is for swbf if so i'd like to know how to do that and what not cause i'd like to make some maps and what not. (Which is also sorta a drag for me but I want to do it really bad (Yes I know that's such a drag))

okay so I was up north when I made this post and only had my laptop with me well I got home and tryed it on my desktop and installation went fine the only thing that happened was direct x 9 was not compatible with windows 10 but I am still able to launch the game and it runs fine so what does this mean? that my laptop is running out of memory or something when it trys to install the game? or that something is incompatible my laptop has windows 7, I don't understand and i'd really love to have swbf 2 on my laptop so I can play it on the go and maybe get some updates or whatever I saw online where you install something and it makes you able to fly from ground battle to space battle and back on planet Utapau and more, it looks so cool in that video and I want to get it so bad. I just don't know where to find it and yes that's right i'm right they say and it looks like this on and that it is on the swbf 2 game

EDIT By Sam: okay so side thought here would it work to copy the file folders from this computer to a different location then compress the files and folders to zip and then send it in email or use one of my TB external hard drives to transfer it to my laptop and then from there unzip it and put it in to LucasArts folder where it should be and that it would possibly make it run the game without using the discs to install the game?
