I'm thinking of making an elf file that tells the PS2 to load all of the file RS or ES uses, If it works, it works, if not: then at least I tried.

Also, I wan't to play the game on my Android phone. I tried looking up the iso's, but Emuparadise and Freeroms both tried giving me a .exe file named as the iso would...

Of course I cancelled the downloads when I saw the file size: 8KB - whereas the game is 904MB.

That's strange. I downloaded the Renegade Squadron iso from Emuparadise and got a .rar file which was around 700MB. I'm not sure I can share the direct link here but google "renegade squadron iso" and you should get it.

It depends what files you want from the games. Google "Renegade Squadron PSP iso" and you'll find some downloads.

It's certainly tricky. I'd say Battlefront 1 is a better game than Battlefront 2 on their own. But when you take into account mods I think Battlefront 2 becomes the better game. You can mod Battlefront 2 to make it more like Battlefront one but you can't do the same the other way around. For that reason alone I think Battlefront 2 probably has the edge. It's also better because it has a digital edition that's easy to get a hold of. You don't have to track down an old PC copy on eBay or pirate it.

Thanks for your help. I have one thing to point out.

"The red you see is selected polygons"

The thing is, I actually have my entire model selected when I open the textue editor. There are no polygons left to select. Does this mean only the red area will be mapped to my entire model?

Also, if the area inside the blue triangles already fits my model, what texture projection do I apply to make sure it maps exactly as it is? Best fit? UV? Planner XY?

I downloaded a model that has already been UV mapped. How would I reapply this texture in XSI? What form of texture projection would I select? This is what I see when I open up the XSI texture editor.

And what exactly would be projected here anyway? Is area between the red squares that is projected on the model or is it the area between the blue squares? Will I just have to retexture this from scratch or is there any projecting this as it is?

Thanks.

I'm not familiar with PS2 modding but I don't believe there is a program to make maps on other than Zeroeditor.

Here's a thread about the missing file you mentioned: http://www.swbfgamers.com/index.php?topic=9220.0

I found this in space template forlder medical frigat it's called If I good remember

Thanks. I've just found it where you said. I didn't throughly check the Battlefront 2 assets because I don't recall seeing it in any stock maps.

Does anyone know where I could find a Nebulon B-class Frigate like the one that appeared in Rogue Squadron? It says on the Battlefront wikia that it has appeared in a few mod maps.

SWBF2 Modding / Re: How do I start modding?

What do you mean by changing what the clones look like? Do you mean changing the actual clone trooper model or just giving them a new colour/skin? If you're just retexturing the clones, all you will need is a photo editing program like GIMP or photoshop. If your making changes to the models you will need a 3d modelling program.

You will need a different set of mod tools depending on which game you're modding.

Here's a list of tools you can download from the site.

For Battlefront 1 modding try this: http://www.swbfgamers.com/index.php?action=downloads;sa=view;down=1219

For Battlefront 2 modding try this: http://www.moddb.com/games/star-wars-battlefront-ii/downloads/star-wars-battlefront-ii-mod-tools-pc

I also disliked Episode 7. You'll either find Episode 8 good or bad depending on what kind of fan you are. If you love the mythos of Star Wars and consume the Expanded Universe material you probably won't like this film. But if you're a more casual Star Wars fan who likes Disney's new films, you'll probably find it better than The Force Awakens.

I didn't really like it overall but I prefer it to Episode 7 just because it's more engaging to watch and you never know what's going to happen next, unlike The Force Awakens.

The best thing about this new trilogy is that we're getting more Plinkett reviews.

I think this was like most Star Wars films in the sense that you'll have to see it twice in order to form a complete opinion of it. I have a feeling that it's a film people will either grow to love or hate. On my first viewing I'd say it's much better than the Force Awakens and it proved that some of the new cast might have potential to be great characters after all. Here's my new ranking:

9. The Phantom Menace
8: The Force Awakens
7: Attack of the Clones
6: Rogue One
5: The Last Jedi
4: Empire Strikes Back
3: A New Hope
2: Revenge of the Sith
1: Return of the Jedi

[spoiler]Things I liked in it:
-Phasma died; one of the worst Star Wars characters ever
-Plenty of twists and turns that make it a much more original and entertaining film than TFA
-Yoda scene (although they should have had Obi-Wan and Anakin back as well)
-Some original planets
-Poe, Rey and Kylo are better characters now

Things I didn't like:

-The flashbacks to Ben Solo were far more interesting than anything in the film. The new trilogy should have been about Han, Leia and Luke raising their force sensitive children who would then become the new characters. Instead we get Han, Luke and Leia all dying. And we didn't even see them with Lando again.
-It's still kind of rips off Empire. AOTC took elements from Empire but this is almost the exact same plot. A new Jedi trains with an old master while the Rebels flee the Empire. I does go a different route in the end though
-I'm surprised they didn't edit the film after Carrie's death so that Leia stays dead. It would have been simple enough to reshoot one or two scenes
-Why did Luke bother with the Force projection of himself at the end of the film? If he was just going to become one with the force in the end anyway why didn't he just meet Kylo in person? And why did the projection wield Anakin's lightsaber instead of his own green lightsaber?
-The soundtrack is disappointing once again. John Williams composed far better music for the prequels. Duel of Fates, Jedi Temple March ect. The only memorable track in the film is the resistance theme and that's carried over from TFA.

Is this competition still going ahead? How many potential entrants are working on something for the contest? I'm hoping to submit something but I wonder how many entries there will be in total.
