What do you mean by extract them? So you can view them? People have already uploaded those cutscenes to Youtube:

I remember playing those great maps around the time they were first released. I also remember you were working on a great "How to" modding guide for Steam players. Any plans on ever continuing that?

After buying Battlefront 1 on Steam I was surprised to find it didn't revive the multiplayer servers. I had expected it would seeing as that's what happened for the Steam copy of Battlefront 2. Why do you suppose they left out a server revival for this Steam release? And do you think they'll ever add servers again?

No wonder all these projects get DMCAs. The devs are practically asking for it when they release information about their project on the internet. I don't understand why they don't keep a low profile and just leak the project when it's done.

Yeah the whole world was having problems with it, including myself. Usually closing the game and re-opening it does the trick for me. But the devs have confirmed a fix is on the way.

Other that that, the new mode is amazing. The best thing in the game so far. It really should have been there from the start.

Interesting that "diving" was an original move alongside rolling. That wasn't even in Battlefront 2.

It's certainly less active than when I joined (late 2015). But a small community has its advantages. And there will always be people who love the original Battlefront games.

It's probably blacked out because you haven't selected the model in XSI Softimage properly. You need to middle click the model in the explorer window (I think you bring it up with Alt + eight). The whole thing should turn blue if I remember correctly.
#24
You don't export to .obj using the ZE Tools. I think you do File>Export if I remember correctly.
#25
If you really want to edit the model in Blender instead of XSI Softimage, then you should export the .msh as .obj and then import the .obj into blender. Don't forget to convert the model back to .msh when you're done editing it.

As for the dc-15s, you just add them like you add any other weapon. Put the files in the msh and ODF folders and reference them in the trooper's ODF file.

You install the ZE Tools XSI Softimage addon and then select "import msh".

For all your questions relating to XSI Softimage, you should look in these boards:

Well, a good thing to do is make one change at a time. That way, you'll know if it's the vehicle or the weapon changes that's making the map crash.
#28
You can use Blender to edit models if you like but it's probably easier to use XSI Softimage. That's because you'll have to export the model through XSI Softimage anyway.

Also, what specific changes are you making to the sides folder? What did you change to make it crash?

Other Games / Re: Fortnite

I prefer PUBG to be honest. I prefer Battle Royal games without the building mechanic. But due to the success of PUBG and Fortnite, many more games are going to have Battle Royal modes in years to come.

But this is for Swbf2 isn't it ?

I'm pretty sure you can munge a sound.lvl that will work in a Battlefront 1 map using the Battlefront 2 mod tools. You can certainly used the Battlefront 1 tools to make a sound.lvl that works in Battlefront 2 so I assumed it worked the same the other way around.
