[spoiler]So I had this Idea for a mod, we all know about the SWBF1 Conversion Pack for SWBFII. But we don't have one yet.
So my idea is port the SWBFII maps as best as I can done to vehicles and such. And port the SWBFII sides as best I could like the new classes. One of the special classes would have to be cut since we can't fit all six sadly.
Thing is I don't want to waste my time, I'm getting an increasingly shorter amount of it lately. So I want to know people want this kind of mod and would play it.

IT`s a good idea,but,with this conversion coming out,map mods like Geonosis LPR will be able convert or just stock SWBFII maps?
I love the idea.
As for the extra unit class, it could be included, but only drop one for specific maps.
That way every unit could be visited, just not all at once.
btw, I'm still exploring Unleashed.
I didn't like clones till you released it.
I can do some sides, I figured out how to make the tanks and ships work just like in SWBF2. I had started a sides conversion but they were lost with my mod tools. :'(

Yeah, like on a map like Tantive cut the Jettrooper and replace it with the Clone Commander. And to the people who hate the flying Zappy, stop hating my favourite unit! I won't be cutting it. (Mainly becaue i want to mimic as closely as possible to SWBFII's sides.)

Is it in the code somewhere that dictates how the ARC caster conducts from enemy to enemy? Perhaps it could be increased to be more dramatic like in SWBF2?

First post updated with early test pictures. I know it's not much, I had planned for a video but xFire seems to be having problems and I have no internet data at the moment. (I've tried uploading it twice or was it three times.) I'll get you the video uploaded real soon!
My general thoughts on it. It feels like SWBFII when I play it, the units behave is much more SWBFII like. All the units are great fun to play.
I'm working on alliance in my spare time. I'm trying to get all the vehicles to work properly so I'll get some pics when I can.

I do appreciate the fact that you want to help out. But this early in the development it's easier if I just work by myself. I really do hope your not offended, it's just it would be hard to keep organized.
I'm not sure how its more complicated.. But alright, I'll do the alliance side apart from this project I guess.

Do you two play with Low, Medium or High Water Settings?
The water is red, because it call .tga from SWBF2 assets, named "dag1_water", and it is realy red. You have to repaint it.

Hence why I was asking what Water Setting they were using. (I figured it must be that after I posted my original post.)
I have not bothered to change any of the visual settings so what ever is the default I use.
My settings are on all low. I tried it with high water particle settings and it was still red...

2)In the second video the Geonosis dust plains has sonic turrents??? But you said that they didn't have those :blink:

1. Yeah, this is pre-alpha stuff all things subject to be improved.
2. I was mistaken, I booted up my copy of SWBFII to find it did have those turrets.
Oh! Well can you make those changes for the rest of the community real quick? ;)
I think I'll send you my alliance conversion that I've done so far, it'll save you some time and you can change whatever you want. Sound good?
For the skirts of the clone arc and other characters you should just make them like they are to begin with(no waving around in the wind).
So don't take them off the people because clones and snowtroopers look stupid without the skirts. My opinion... 8)
Edit: Hey Sleepkiller, after you release this mod I'm gonna make a new topic called "things Sleepkiller promised to do" :P :happy: Then when you do it all SWBF will be the #1 game in the UNIVERSE!!!!! :cheer: :cheer:

They just don't appear, I haven't taken them off people. And converting them to static geometry is a huge undertaking. But I have a trick or two up my sleeve for them yet ;)

I have a couple of ideas about them but they are very impractical so I'm not implementing them.
When I try convert Mustafar, I am using invisible auto turrets for lava explosions...

Not a bad idea, in fact that's genius mind if I use that on Mustafar?
Yes, the explosions will look's perfect there.
Also, if you figure out, how to make rumble regions get to work, the conversion of Mustafar will be look's nice.
If you do have lots of fake explosions in mods or maps, release a version without the explosions for some us with our low graphics computers. :P

Edit: Hey Sleepkiller, on your kamino conversion people just stand around...Maybe add more units per team to the battlefield of something cause its kinda boring in Singleplayer.
What would this conversion of Mustafar that you are doing be different than the scum/strike one? That one seems pretty perfect to me...(would it have collapsable bridges?!)

A. I enjoy porting maps, all be it a tedious process at times.
B. I like having source files to work with.
C. It just doesn't seem right to put them in this when I can port them perfectly well myself.

lol! I had this idea for the finale of this conversion, A space map! Not like these other ones where no one fights IN SPACE I mean with the works; turrents with AI in them to actually kill you and space combat! With crucial systems to destroy that act as reenforcement drainers when destroyed! In Clone Wars and GCW with converted vehicles and everything! Is this possible to do or have you had this idea for a long time... :cheers:

I played your SWBF renewed demo recently and I was wondering if you were going to include the rage the magnaguard has that hurts everyone in its radius for all the special units and the slicer which does negative damage on enemy vehicles for the pilot...

I just can't balance out that stuff since I can't get the buffs that other commanders use ingame. So no they won't be making an appearance. And I don't have enough weapon slots for the Slicer.
Will it be online compatible like your SWBF unleashed mod? Or will it be a replacing mod...

Could you release the fixes for certain conversions then like Dagobah(red water), Geonosis(sonic turrents), Tantive IV( right rebel skins),and any others? Along with a side mod for what you have done so that we have something because I love that dagobah map with the BF2 sides...
Please at least release the fixed maps and any other conversions. Could you do that?
What's this red water issue? Try messing with the graphical settings. Because I don't see it and I'm playing it on the Mac too. :panic:

What Sereja says. It is red on the Dagobah that is playable in both eras. It isn't red on the dagobah with BF2 sides because I think SleepKiller repainted it.
